I don't fence competitively often anymore, but when I can,...

After pools, I seeded 4th out of 45 epee fencers. Had some close matches in direct eliminations, but won enough to get to semi-finals. For not having fenced anyone decent since April, no complaints.
Local Team
I really live in the middle of nowhere, so instead of driving 3-4 hours one way to fence people, I'm growing my own novice team here in town. 5-7 people that consistently attend. Which is infinitely more than zero. I hate practicing alone. ('¬_¬)
Vote
Governor: In Arizona, we can vote absentee and send our ballots via mail. Since I'm out of town, I went ahead and sent mine in for the Libertarian, Barry Hess, for Governor. I'd've liked to vote for Ducey, but after [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDyK1K5rsag]listening to a debate between the three major candidates[/url, I couldn't do so in good conscience. Guy's a blasted narcissist, plain and simple. DuVal I disagree with on important issues, but I'd vote for him over Ducey any day; I could respect DuVal where I couldn't respect Ducey.
All in all, however, Hess was the clear pick for me. Like his style, agree with his policies, and optimistic about Libertarian prospects in the state for future elections.
Congress: Tobin I disliked a little less than Kirkpatrick, and there was no third party candidate to wrestle with, so Tobin got my vote there.
To fellow American citizens at or over the age of 18: inform yourselves of the applicable candidates on your ballot and go vote. I don't care who you vote for. Honestly. Just take a glance at the people running, find which you agree with, and go for 'em. Exercise your inalienable right with prudence, wisdom, and confidence.
It would be a very American thing to do.
