Fuck Valve.
Too much? Nah, fuck them. I thought shit would be taken care of seriously after DotA2 got officially released but nooooo, to them its just another label they put on for more cashing out. Upon weeks before the official release, there were a new wave of thread complained about broken matchmaking over dev forum. Instead of taking thing seriously, they just treat it as a joke until the players got frustrated and brought it over reddit 2-3 days ago. And until then, dev was still defending the MMR system, which is just another sign of 'we know nothing about this silly bug'.
Well at least they are better than Blizzard. Patched came out in matter of day if not hours. Things are now 'fixed' according to them. So why am i bitching? Because Im fucking tired of climbing this ladder all over again.
Thats right, they didnt roll back shit. My MMR is now got dragg way down than its normal height. MMR has nothing to do with winning or losing games btw. I can win still just fine. The game are just no longer enjoyable.
Upon years of playing DotA and DotA2, you will eventually lose the drive to win. Like me, you will be put into a mode call 'trying your very best' and your only joy is 'good game', one day... Winning is not fun, losing isnt sad. What I seek in DotA is competition, where both team are equally skill and filled with good decent players who try their very best to win. After a year of plowing through the match making, knowing every corner, every function of the search as well as the report button, I got to the top. And hallelujah it feels damn good. Its that feeling where you are in a game where no one die to a nyx gank because we had sentries in front and behind towers. Its the feeling where 2 lane rax isnt the end and comeback is still possible post mega creep. From the West coast of NA to the left side of EU, I got to play one of the best non-official-matches dota in my life. Ixdl average standard has nothing over a 4 russians teammates that i used to get.
And now those are all lose. My MMR is twisted and most likely others too. It gona take quite a long time for decent players to climb up this ladder to meet each others again at the top.
Demotivated, I am.

Ouch man, sounds pretty rough.
Hopefully if it's brought up they'll be able to roll it back for the guys like you. I mean that's a pretty big issue. Makes me glad none of the Compendium matches ever really appealed to me.

Look, I'm sorry for going 3/12/31 on my drow, I tried playing it as support because nobody gets courier/wards as usual.
Hearing the ladder reset suddenly has the past time make more sense. The players I encounter in dota2 games make more sense now.

Fuck matchmaking, play Inhouse doto !
|
NB you shouldn't be playing Matchmaking to have good games of dota. you play INhouse leagues and scrims to have good games. you play matchmaking because you want to play A game of dota.

why are u playing matchmaking only?

play with me, ill make them enjoyable bby

Idk I usually have pretty fun games, they tend to be super close. So I feel like the match making system does it job. My problem is the random idiots you sometimes team with, or people who can't speak english yet play on the US servers. That is frustrating. But honestly it's like any game you play with random people, you never know what you will get.

Who in their right fucking mind hates chocolate ice cream?
HERESY.

maybe if valve became a publicly traded company like blizzard, they would make their games more enjoyable and hence give more incentive for customers like you to buy their games to increase returns to shareholders :O

mmmmhhhhmmmm thats why we had brood lord infestor for over a year before hots right? or 5 rax reaper for like 6 months at the beginning of WOL. Being a publically traded company has nothing to do with making the game more "enjoyable" and everything with making it more addicting to raise revenue for shareholders. Look at WoW, it has micro transactions AND a monthly sub.
