Failing this exam has its implications: It delays your exam progress and could also delay your career progress. Those taking the exam also need to pay quite a bit of money as a fee (This particular exam costs $260 to take) and it's nonrefundable. So those who fail would have to pay the same amount a second time to take the exam. Therefore it is in our best interest to pass the exam.
Back to the scenario on hand: About 10 of my Malaysian friends and I (I'm Malaysian too) went to take the exam. Of all the people who went to take the exam, I was the only one who managed to pass it. Yes, I am quite proud of myself for being able to pass, but what about the others? I'm fairly certain that my friends also put in a lot of studying.
To top it all off, there was this heavy air in the car when we drove back to our residences (I drove four 3 other people to the testing center and back). It's incredibly difficult to be able to show your happiness when the people you know weren't able to accomplish what you did. In fact, being the sole "Survivor" among my peers makes me feel...... almost depressed.
So my question to all you TLers out there is: How would you behave yourself in a situation like this?
