- Past Ketchup. - Hey Team Liquid, good to see you again! Yeah I know it feels like it's been so long since we had a real extended run in. You look good! Sexy new store and UI to boot ... damn girl.
Ok for real, it's been ages since I last wrote in this space. While I've been around here and there, its safe to say my presence has been irregular at best. The last twelve months have been the least active of my time here, mostly attributed to decreased interest in SC2 as WoL drew to a close and HotS loomed on the horizon. 2013 especially has been quiet for me 'round these parts though, for a variety of reasons.
Mostly it's been an expanding of interests in other areas of my life. While I'd hardly consider myself some kind of emerging social, vocational, romantic, musical, or fashion connoisseur, I've invested more time in some areas where I previously invested none, and invested more where I already was quite engrossed. I suppose it's been a time of sampling and trying a lot of new things, and while I've never totally left TL, it's been less of a focus nowadays. It's been a good 5 or 6 months of discovering new parts of the city I live near (Cincinnati, Ohio), discovering new bands that happen to find themselves in that city, and enjoying the company of new and old friends alike while undertaking that journey. Of course a few regional detours for concerts and state heirlooms (Derby!!!) have been thrown in there for seasoning. I wish I had pictures or at least more of my actual personal memories to share of Derby, but alas, the weather destroyed my phone, and the mint juleps tag-teamed with the cold and rain to blur the events of the day. Anyways, I know it was fun and it's an event I would encourage anyone who has even a passing interest in Kentucky or horse racing to attend just once.
You did it again you minty-fresh bourbon bastard. I've once again returned to my normal summer job (vending beer at baseball games), which I've always enjoyed. The team is good, business and it's been keeping me busy on many an afternoon and evening, all while providing for my needs provided I work hard enough. Vending is a racket of commission (based of a % of sales) and gratuity, and while selling lots of gross product is more of a mechanical labor, bringing in tips is more of a social art. Even though I've been doing this job for some time, I'm trying to hone myself to provide for a more enjoyable fan experience, rather than just a beer shelling robot. It's a gig where you get to make people smile for a moment and get a little extra something as well, so it provides rewards on multiple levels. This is all necessary because I've got to pay for more expenses in a few areas, dining out more often and dating being one of them.
I've never been one for dating until recently, and while I remain quite single it has been anything but unpleasant. There was a relaxing quality to not really concerning myself with romance for a while, but I suppose I got to the point where the comfort zone was just looking boring. While the dates I've gone on haven't lead me to some kind of new and intriguing kind of comfort, they haven't failed in at least being entertaining and an enjoyable learning experience.
Inevitably along with going out more often and dating, a need for a new wardrobe became woefully apparent. Enter my sister: newly graduated with a degree in fashion and hungry to make her brother take up an interest for the first time in his life. I can't say she wasn't successful. I've always been on the slender side to say the least (6'1 165 lbs or 185 cm / 75 kg) and as such the clothes other people happened to gift to me were looser, baggy, or just flat out didn't really fit my figure. Personally going out and getting a fresh wardrobe that really fit me (and in turn looked good) was a very gratifying experience. One that I look forward to indulging in more often now provided I stay within my means.
- Present Mustard. - Did I mention music? With the help of a handful of enabling and very intrepid music listening friends I've developed a bit of an addiction for attending concerts this year. Almost 2 or 3 a week sometimes. Lots of new bands, it's been a lot of fun. Gotta give a shout out to MotR pub in Cincinnati for no other fact than probably a good 60% of the shows I've seen have been there, every one of which has been free, and nearly every one has been very enjoyable.
One of their most recent shows featured Chrome Sparks, who specializes in aural pleasures of some magnitude. You decide where it falls on your personal Richter Scale.
- Future Relish. - So that's what I've been up to. In the next few weeks I'm looking forward to some especially promising days at work to help pay for some especially promising days at play at Bonnaroo 2013. Will report back provided I survive the summer heat in Manchester and I don't perish due to some ear-sexually transmitted disease. I'm very excited.
What about you guys? Anyone getting heavy into MLB this year like I am? Anyone seen a really good band recently they'd like to recommend? Anyone seen an outfit or article of clothing they really liked? You show me yours, I'll show you mine. Clothes that is, if you're interested. I'm going to try to play some HotS and delve back into following the pro scene after a lengthy hiatus. Naturally I'm a bit out of touch, care to recommend any upcoming tournaments to watch? Cheers and thanks for reading!

Play some HotS! Come back to us, we miss you! Play Dota too.
I haven't done anything particularly interesting though, I've barely started following baseball except for reading my friend's facebook updates about it.

Hi p4NDemik

p4NDemik! Too bad there isn't as much baseball discussion in the MLB thread this year on TL as compared to past years (probably because there is no more TL Fantasy Baseball League), seems that everyone has less to talk about, or it's too early in the season (even if 2 months have passed).
I do approve of Dusty Baker and that there should be more NHL-fights in baseball.

truly a great condiment: russian sauce for your ruebens and everything else. ~3/4 cups mayonnaise ~1/4 cup chili sauce, maybe dash extra 2 tablespoons sour cream 2 teaspoons chopped curly parsley leaves (or chives or some herb) 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon minced Spanish onion (i coulldnt find spanish ones, so i diced up regular white ones) 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon minced dill pickle (very necessary) 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon grated horseradish and a dash of Worcestershire sauce (around a teaspoons worth, give or take)
just fist the ingredients together and enjoy! gimme more condiments guise, homemade shit is the shit. ps: you should make a starcraft flag for roo that you can carry round with your backpack; that way i (and whoever else) might be able to meet you personally. just make sure its high up on a stick or something so itll be visible from far away, cuz thers too many people. hav you been to roo? its nasty nasty nasty, so come prepared with lots of water/alcohol/whatever else makes you comfy; and itll likely rain, so be ready for that). and go see animal collective and dan deacon if hes playing solo (seriously, theyre awesome... id check em out first tho, might be too weird/abrasive for your tastes...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnXiXlF7olo is sososo good!!). and alsoget there like 3-5 hours before gates open for good camping (or go vip if youre princely). all in all, no matter how grimy/overcrowded it gets, if youve got good company and lots of dance nrg then youll have a bonaroo fershore. (thats where the name came from, btw: a bonaroo is a crazy good time) bring tons of cash for amazing food/crafts/art and other accessories and thatll help as well; otherwise, youll have to pack some kind of gasstove and food, which can be awesome if prepared properly but often can be a hassel...i wouldnt expect any russian sauce to be there, so maybe you could bring a batch and get really popular/make new friends who want to taste your sauce. also dress up as the royal tart toter, trust me ...if i go ill have my finn outfit on and be ready for adventure. with much love,

We usually stock up on the essentials on the way down there but there's some things that will be sold out if I wait to long (camelbak - I neeeed this).
I'm currently working out who I'm gonna be seeing. I've already got a ticket to see Animal Collective when they come to Cincinnati in July, so I may go to a different show late night on Friday (hello Pretty Lights ). Dan Deacon was actually supposed to be the opening act for Animal Collective in April but that obviously didn't happen when it was cancelled so I was super bummed. Both AC and DD will be at Forecastle as well though, which I plan on attending, so again I may opt for another acts I otherwise won't be able to see this summer.
Sleep is a luxury I usually can't and don't afford myself. I somehow manage to get by with a few hours every night. We usually bring a gas stove and grill mad hot-dogs, brats, mets, etc. with the intermixed festival food and snacks.
Anyone else you're really excited to see? Just eying it right now I think this is what I'm looking at:
