With WOL coming to a close I felt like making this post about how team liquid has effected my life. I joined Team Liquid and the mainstream sc2 community in september of 2011 at the age of 15. I was a lowley silver zerg who had no idea about anything. In the begining, i didnt spend much time on TL because of sports and school. However, in december of 2011, i was plauged with sickness and injury. My knees and elbow are kinda shot (at least so i can't be competitive in soccer and b ball anymore). That is when i started to get into competitive sc2 more. The first major match I saw was DRG vs. MMA in the Blizzard Cup finals. I immediently fell in love with DRG. His mutas inspired me to train like never before and soon i hit the amazing rank of GOLD LEAGUE!
At this point, I joined my very first team: Stassis. January to April of 2012 were some of the best times I have ever had on star craft. I loved my team, I loved the game, I loved watching tournaments. In april of 2012, stassis fell apart. My drive to compete however, was only strengthened. I switched to Terran and soon hit mid platinum level. Then began my 2nd pro crush, Liquid Taeja! As soon as I saw him play Creator Prime in fight club, i knew he was my new favorite Terran. His run in IPL TAC 3 was legandary! I watched every match that summer. At this point, I am a high Plat Terran with no team and still very little skill.
The summer of 2012 saw me join a few teams but nothing that stuck. On the last day of the summer before school, I hit diamond. The feeling i had is something I will never forget. The next great moment for me was when I joined xO gaming, a mainly master team. I played in their Academy for a few monthes then got placed as manager of said Academy. Now, I am a top diamond player of all 3 races, i help run a team with some of the best damn guys in sc2, and I am loving life.
I know this isn't well written, but i have to say it guys. Heres to Team fucking Liquid! With me through the high points and low and everywhere between. You have effected my life in so many ways and I love this community and this game tons.
If you made it through this thanks for the read,
