Concerning my blog. I did promise to complete my conjecture or theory about the Xel'Naga race. And also examine all the psychological components, concerning the subjective mind of the professional player. And one thing I've realized, or forgot, was how hard it is to be a good player. How much focus and effort it takes to enter a game, and achieve victory. This, of course, sounds obvious, but subsequently after entering silver league, I suffered a losing streak. So bad the MMR put me against bronze players who didn't even use the 'A' attack-move command. Why did I lose? Because I stopped exerting effort and deliberate concentration upon entering the game. THERE IS so much you must remember. Your posture, muscle tension, mouse stance, keeping your APM going. And then, there is the decision of what tactic you're going to implement. I started losing, because I was blindly doing builds that I THOUGHT were going to win, not builds I KNEW were needed. Anyway.. that's that.

Oh well, about the Stacraft II interface, the new renovated environment. What say you guys about that? I must say, I liked the frost blue clinical atmosphere of the previous interface. This one is like light blue tranquil, and golden orange incandescence, which is fine, but it's more suggestive of a pending expansion that is inevitable. I liked the big ornated emblems that you clicked on when selecting a race. Also a few bothersome things, I personally do not think the automatic worker mining in the beginning of the match is a good idea. Your micro precision makes your opening move, unique and thus, the professional player's opening move is better than the average, BUT NOW everyone has the same automated opening move.
Another thing, I liked the image of kerrigan when you open the game, but that image is explicitly revealing, her eventual purification, thus it's kind of giving away the end of the first campaign.
One more prediction concerning HotS. I must say, I have not had the grace to write this on battle.net but It think the game is going to be a monumental anti-climax. The players have been, going over the beta, getting used to the new found novelty of the experience. But when the official release comes out, the multiplayer experience will seem familiar and explored and that which was expected will not come as a surprise. AND personally I think the units are obtrusive entities of obscure annoyance. They're the type of thing, that a player will encounter on the battlefield, and it's just something frustrating and bothersome, not satisfying and metal-crunching, just intractably frustrating to deal with. They should in fact, lose their imagination when creating new units, instead of trying to introduce something new and radical. Or they should try and revive some of the old starcraft one units, if that's possible. But I can already see what's going to happen. The protoss are going to once again, be so inordinately powerful, causing much disruption and disarray.
Oh well.. we'll see I could be wrong
