Hi TL!
This is a short story about what happened to me today. Not sure it is even worth blogging about but I wanted to share it and though maybe some of you would at least laugh.
It started off at midday, a warm, windy day in the local park. I was walking through it on my way into town to do some shopping when I heard my phone receive an SMS. Not wanting to walk and type, I stopped and sat on the grass. Nothing out of the ordinary, it was lunch time and so hundreds of other people were lounging about on the grass, gazing at flowers, feeding squirrels and eating sandwiches on the benches.
As I sat there a bunch of Asian tourists walked past with their cameras, taking pictures of everything. One of them greeted me in heavily accented English. I smiled and returned the greeting. I stood up now, ready to continue my walk when two of the Asian men turned back and walked over to me. The one who had greeted me motioned to his camera and pointed at me. Thinking he wanted me to take a photo of him and his friend standing by the sun dial, I walked over with my arms outstretched towards his camera. He looked at me for a second, puzzled, and then turned and, to my surprise, put his arm around my shoulder. I realized he was asking me to pose for a photo with him!
I smiled while his friend took two or three photos of us and then they spoke in whatever language they spoke (I assumed Chinese, we have many Chinese tourists here) and his friend translated to me 'My friend say you very boootiful!'
I blushed a little and said 'Thank you, gam-sa-ham-ni-da' (which is thank you in Korean, which I had been trying to learn!)
My reply caused some shock amongst the men and some more mumbling.
'How you know Hangul?' the friend asked.
My reply: 'I watch StraCraft and I wanted to learn Korean so I can go to the GSL.'
Without a second's hesitation the first man dropped down on one knee and took my hand with a huge smile. This of course made me laugh and blush even more and his friends laughed and slapped each others backs. And of course everyone nearby in the park now turned their attention in anticipation of a proposal. Of course it was in jest, but the friend translated to me 'He want marry you!' and we laughed and (to be incredibly anti-climatic) I apologized for being taken already. I'm not entirely sure they understood, but they all shook my hand with a smile and said 'See you later!' (as though it was likely we'd bump into each other again) and continued in our opposite directions.
And so TeamLiquid, thank you for all the small things that allowed a lead up to this event (Starcraft, threads of places I could learn Korean, and a place I could blog about this). I'm pretty sure it doesn't sound nearly as hilarious in writing, but I wanted to share anyway. 
TL;DR I had a stranger propose to me in public.

I can't promise a picture but I can upload a high resolution detailed artistic (and realistic) sketch of the situation

Yeah I thought she was a guy the whole way through which was way creepier than funny. Then I looked at her post history and eventually realized she was a girl. I was relieved.
Instead of being creepy, it's just some tourist hitting on a girl and getting rejected but with a SC twist.

And a little update to the story... I was walking to college this morning when who do I see? Yeah, the english speaking friend, across the road, camera round his neck and bright shirt and all. He recognized me and waved. Then got on a bus and disappeared, although I am fairly sure there was a flashing of light in my direction through the window as the bus drove off.

Really cool Story :D although i have to admit, that it wasnt what i expected. You said u have a funny Story. It Starts with you sitting in the grass in a park, and two tourists trying to tell you something as you stood up... At that moment i thought, that the pointe of this whole story would be, that you sat yourself into dog poo, Not getting what the tourists want, and walking arround the whole day with an embarassing brown Spot on your pants... Sorry for being immature xD but i like your story much more ^^

I wanted to make a girl blog especially for you Optical, but it is kinda hard and I'm unfortunately not a lesbian, so this was the best I could do. So glad you stumbled across it and enjoyed it though ^_^
It seems to be a thing with non-english speaking Asian tourists liking to take pictures of white girls though, I know another girl who had a whole group of tourists gather around her and take photos just because she ha blond hair!
