I dont really know how.Hey guys, I'm RogerX (SEA_GenesiS, my pre-changed name here on TL) and I decided to introduce/talk about myself about my life on ze internet because I haven't done that yet. It'll probably be short because I don't really know what to say, everything that I write is the things thats currently in my head as I go along. Please excuse my horrible English, as I'm horrid at English class.
I'm a 17 year old(Recently turned 17) kiwi-Korean and I first started playing video games at about the age of five, I believe. At this age, I was still living in Korea with my parents. Anyway, the gaming thing; It all began when my uncle introduced me to two games, The sims 1 and Starcraft. This was the time when I began falling in love with games, every week I went to visit my uncles home and he would teach me how to play Starcraft, to be honest, at the time, he wasn't very good either I think he only used to do Proxys Rax or mass Battlecruiser (My memory fails me)
I loooved playing both these games so very much because I loved building things (The sims) and for some strange reason I liked marines shooting aliens at the age of 5? (Lolwut) Anyway carrying on, when I was 6 my parents decided to move and live in New Zealand because we were tired of the standard of living in Korea. I brought my uncles SC CD with me, with his permission of course, and I used to play Starcraft on the one computer we had in hour house, which suprisingly didn't lag even though its really old.
One day, my parents decided to look at the news which underlines an issue on how games such as Starcraft is a clever way to get young kids to... join the military -.- .... The media, it ruins my life. So pretty much I got banned from playing these games for yeeeeaaaars until I was about 13.
Okay well anyway thats all i'll talk about my personal life, now i'll talk about my life in Teamliquid so far and my past contribution to the internet community.
I used to be a game hacker, any game I played, I hacked. Even Warcraft 3, which resulted in the warden(Hack bot) banning me for three months. (Couldn't play DOTA T_T) other games include, Maplestory, RF online, Various FPS. Anyway, I used to be a mod at a Combat Arms hack forum called Gordonsgsys (Dont wan't to advertise so you guys can search up the link yourselves if you wish) This was the most popular place for free hacks and it was one of the best hacks for Combat Arms.
I also used to be a mod at a Nintendo-DS rom hack forum.
Eventually I quit by never going on those forums again because I quit hacking in games
In terms of Starcraft 2, I began playing because my other friends persuaded me to. I played about 500 Team games in the SEA server and about 800 in the US server because I was affected by the "1v1 fright" eventually I played a few 1v1's and oh my god, I can't explain it but the very first game I had in 1v1 was very intense for me xD, my heart was beating hard as I proxied zealot my way into platinum and lose to a reaper rush (I play zerg now). After playing about 120 1v1 matches I became Masters in season 3, which was a big deal for me because I love SC2 and its the game where it got me here, in Teamliquid.
So, how did I find out about TL? Well actually I dont really remember, but I do know that I was a lurker for a few months until I eventually began to join and started falling in love with this new community <3 It's just so much better than all the other forums i've been to (i've been in plenty) This community is hilarious, respectful, helpful and a place where I can actually get some intelligent discussion.
Okay since im running out of time this is all i'll write for now.
