DOS Game: Supaplex - help

Hi all

Recently, I remembered the name of my favourite DOS game, back in the times when I had no Windows
This game is Supaplex, a game similar to Pacman (look it up for details)
However, I do not know how to run DOS games in Vista. I've looked it up on Google, I know it can be done, but I can't be bothered sifting through all the words to find out how to

So can someone give me some basic steps on how to run a DOS game on Vista?

Have you tried running DOS or FreeDOS on a virtual machine off of your Vista machine?

Dosbox should do the trick. It's quite easy to set up and there's loads of tutorials for it.

This was one of those games I played awfully lot when I was a kid and had a chance to get on PC.
I think I was eventually around the last level with few very hard ones skipped (though I did need help around level 100 something with the pushable detonatable disks).

Not to mention the editor for the game that was later put out and very easy to use, remade most of the maps just to try out some crazy ideas? Oh yes.

Anyways Dosbox is probably your best bet, I haven't had too many problems with it when playing older games.

Yea, I played this a lot when I was a kid, it was fun and challenging, I loved the design too. Don't know how far I got, though I remember a level full of bombs and another full of scissors

DosBox is awesome! I just played Lure of the Temptress again not long ago. What an amazing adventure game that was!

Dosbox should be able to help you here. Supaplex works great for me under it. There are also a lot of fan made level packs for it you can download for free.
