So yeah, it's not very cute, but I guess I'm going for more "accurate" than cute.
Please note that this is a prototype! I'm just trying to find the right shape for the patterns, then I'll create another one in colored (more expensive) cloth. Not happy with the "acid filled' rear at the moment, I'll make it more round in some future version.
What I'm asking, TLers, is if I should make the legs "bent" like in the first and second picture, of if they should be "straight" as in the third picture. (Yes, currently the legs and tusks are made out of paper, just for demo purposes. The mouth is also on the bottom of the baneling, is that a good idea?)
Please speak your mind if you have any other ideas for improvements! I've never made a plushie before, absolutely no idea what I'm doing =D

Pretty cool ^_^ Both of those I think the back should be a bit more rounder though.

I like the bent legs...although that may make it too spider-esque for small children.
Depends on your target audience

Needs velcro on its chin or something to attach near its ass so you can upgrade it to centrifugal hooks.

As you can see, the baneling's legs are bent down, back up (Joint) and into a claw. Keep the bent legs, but make sure the last joint is a thick claw. Also make sure that the head juts forward beneath the armor of the spine. The banelings eyes are on the side of its dinky and rectangular head. The fangs should loop up from beneath.
The head shouldn't be part of the body, it should jut out beneath the head crest. Don't design the head like the plushie above. Also, the butt of yours needs to be fat and round.

@Amber[LighT] Holy cripes, Day9 has that in his room! ...now that I recognize it, I'm kinda jealous now.
@DamnCats I admit, I've been curling it to see if that works out. Requires a little bit of stuffing to be removed to make it flexible enough, but very viable. Just what to do with the legs...
@Kinetik_Inferno Good suggestions! I'm a bit afraid of making the legs too big, because then it can't go into rolly poley mode. I think the maximum number of joints the legs can have is 1 - after that, it just starts to look weird, especially since the legs don't really support the body.
@Ares[Effort] Sorry! Didn't know it should have been posted here.
