He didn't install it for a month and now only wants to play Rift ![]() It's not that odd Sammler. I have a bro-in-law that buys games with immense multiplayer potential, played the limited single player mode/s and then let's the game rot into obscurity on his computer.

What he is doing is allowing him to learn from his faults and offering constructive feedback on ways to improve his game. In many ways shouldn't that be a life philosphy also: to review the failings and improve upon them, or to find ways to become better?

My hope is that my repeatedly crushing him (accompanied by praise of his very real and constant improvement) will motivate him to improve Thats why i was not sure. also,if you fail at something, that doesnt quite mean you had a choice,it doesnt quite mean you can actually improve. THere are peoples on the maximum of theire capabilitys, theyre literally maxed out, its like a supply limted,200 is max, whatever u build for OLs/SDs/Pilons, more tahn 200 is just not possible. Humans do ahve such a maximum of "W/E" they are doing too, and somewhen you just cannot improve anymore, or atleast not now(maybe because hes to jung, things like this, you know?) like however the 11 yo brother will improve, even if he will be the best 11 yo on the world,if hes maxed out,he still wouldnt even have a chance against Boxer, because boxer is experiented and also older(not that this would matter, but i was way worse as iw as younger too, althought i played more and was ina better shape....) hope you understnad what i try to say

Every time we've played it's been because he wanted to, and I don't think it'll take very many more games for him to realize "hey I'm just not good enough to beat him right now." That is all I mean when I say "repeatedly crushing him." Also I am generally more interested in him having fun. At that age I was just dicking around with UMS, there's no reason why he should have to be super competitive and focused on improving. But if he does care about improving I can't deny that that would make me pretty happy. The best thing would be to find other people around his level for him to play with but that is a difficult task. edit: I understand what you are saying, but I doubt that is actually a limitation for him; he is so inexperienced both in terms of strategy and mechanics that he has a long way to go before he hits any innate limit.

School friends or team mates? He might be surprised where he finds people to partner up with. I found mine through work in an odd discussion that uncovered an underground coven of gamers. Was taken back by it actually. Some of them and their demographics shocked me.

He is not very good with people and as such does not have very many friends. Also I am hesitant to potentially cause problems (with parents) by trying to get 11 year olds to play a T for Teen game.

He's a zerg so I give him two zerg ai allies and usually I lose about 80% of the games becuase he always does some weird ass strategy that is completly absurd (like plauge dropping my depots while i'm defending the ai attack and then dropping upgraded lings into my base). The only way I could kill him is by attacking him early on and bunkering up to hold off the ai but I always shift tab so all of the enemy zergs appear as red and sometimes he mimicks the ai's build orders at the opening of the game so that it is impposible to tell which are he spawned at. That's really cool. Do you know if he mimics the AI on purpose to fool you, or is that just what he does?

Ya he does it on purpous to make his base unobvious so when I move out to attack I cant take him out first and win (if I take an ai out first I usually die becuase he'll make like 7 hatches and mass upgraded lings). Of course I can always tell which units are his becuase they move really sloppily and dont react right away when I attack them :p
