Here are my thoughts on the winners of ro16, some games played, and how well they did in general. The Player Grade is a mathematical formula that I developed that takes into account total game time, and how well those players played. Some players may be rated low because their game time was relatively low.

Also, here are some numbers for those who are interested.

Round of 32
Game Length (average): 17.55
Game Length (st dev): 8.56
Player Score (average): 64.63
Player Score (st dev): 9.88

Round of 16
Game Length (average): 14.95
Game Length (st dev): 6.63
Player Score (average): 62.11
Player Score (st dev): 9.79

Group A (recommended games: 2,3)
+ Show Spoiler +
IMNesTea
66.24
IMNesTea breezed through this group 2-0, beating arguably one of the best zvz players, in the game. He then preceded to be cheesed, and beat, boxer. One of the more intense games, I must recommend the boxer vs nestea game, game 3 of the GSL, because of the inventive cheese boxer used, which almost worked.

TSL_Trickster
69.00
Trickster, aka tester, played quite brilliantly during these sets. He played rather standard, but used some more unknown units in the groups. I recommend watching game 2, a 27 minuet pvt vs boxer. Surprisingly, boxer got into both of my recommended games. I wonder why...

Group B (recommended games: 1,3)
+ Show Spoiler +
IMMVP
71.83
MVP stream rolled, 3-0. I recommend his game vs hyperdub, game 3. Its a really nice tvt, and since tvt is the best match up, both players come through in great style. I really think MVP will make it to ro4 at least.

ChoyafOu
59.26
He won a quick game vs someone who didn't know how to handle fast colossus (marauders dude), and then cheesed his team mate. GG. I recommend game 1 actually, because he wasn't in it.

Group C (recommended games: 1,2)
+ Show Spoiler +
EGIdra
71.95
Idra played perfectly. There is no other way to look at it. Vs clyde, he gained an early advantage with some of the best muta harass ever. He was behind early on, and lost a lot of economy, but gained a giant advantage by killing and delaying clide's production facilities, and forcing him to make 20 or so turrets to cover his entire base. Best game ever, game 2. Also, doing well vs genius, and attacking him early instead of macroing. And beating nada, who didn't even try.

OgsNada
64.97
Showed some amazing play, super macro, and great decision making. Easily 2nd best terran, behind jinro. His play is a lot like in BW, but hasn't adapted too well to sc2 yet. I recommend watching game 1 vs genius. He macroed so hard, expoing every 5 minuets.

Group D (recommended games: 2,3,5)
+ Show Spoiler +
Liquid'Jinro
81.72
The most amazing games. Jinro stole the show, beating the unbeatable MC 2-0, after MC knocked him out of GSL 3 in the ro4. E did the impossible, while using a very different style, mech, to win. Jinro could easily actually take the entire GSL if he continues to play like he did. I recommend watching all of his games. Each one was seriously awesome. Now Jinro has to go up against Idra in the round of 8.

MarineKing
67.17
Marineking doesn't belong here, as a 2nd winner. He demonstrated a great tvt after scouting a complete counter to his marine heavy style. Then he got a free win vs rainbow, because rainbow all-in cheesed against a bunker and terran army. Watch his first game, because it was vs jinro. That being said, I think the MarineKing vs Nada match will be very interesting.

Fixed.

I thought almost all the games were great. 14 mins seems like it would be really short but the games play out really nicely. I would be perfectly ok with them being longer (like 20 mins) but it is nice to see that 1 big 7-8 min timing push is no longer the norm.

Ty. Kinda mad that i missed that one.

But yea, The games felt a bit better over all, but were still kinda on-sided. I think next round, the games will be even longer over all.
