The drum instrument you hear grooving right from the start is called a Dhol, and it's the drum that cupid is pointing his arrow at in the YouTube video.
Bhangra music originated in Punjab. The Dhol is LOUD drum, and the backbone of rhythm in Bhangra music. So basically the Dhol is to Bhangra, as drum set is to Rock music.
The Dhol is used for a lot of festive occasions. In particular, during a celebration called a Baraat before an Indian wedding, often a Dholi will play while the groom's side of the family dances and walks towards the bride side of the family. So we wanted to adapt Usher's track for that situation.
