Hi TL
Just had a crazy hectic ZvZ on xel naga caverns. I played as best I could with very little practice as of late due to exams. I was about to type in GG and leave the game because my opponent completely outplayed me when the strangest thing happened.. He gg'd and left. I re-watched the replay because it was quite confusing, he was ahead in bases & army for almost the entire game. My guess is that he assumed I had an extra expo when in fact I didn't. So I got a free win that I really didn't deserve. Anyone else had an experience like this? is it common?
In other news I recently finished all my exams and am on break but in desperate need of a job to keep me busy & the rent payed. If anyone has a need for a web developer please let me know, of course if you don't I'll have more time for sc2.

maybe he had to go or something. Just a few days ago there was a fire alarm at my apartment so i had to quit haha.
|
maybe he was just being nice to you, manner GGs can really life your spirit.
|
I played through my fire alarm to beat combatEX
|
It could be an offensive GG and he had a purpose for getting the loss.
|
Haha, same thing happened to me in iCCUP once. He killed my army and my natural and said GG and then left.
|
yeah i love those games where your opponent types gg and you think "uhhh for me or for you?" haha
|
How much do you charge? Me and my buddy have a few projects in mind but it won't go ahead until jan due to how busy we are.
|
I've done it before on multiple occasions. Be it someone needing a little help in the kitchen, getting an important phone call, or a match taking longer than expected and me realizing I won't get to the bank in time if I don't win or lose within the next 30 seconds.
Goofy situations come up when you live with other gamers, too. I've taken over for someone on multiple occasions when they needed 2 minutes for a bathroom break midgame lololol

Almost 90% sure your opponent did that so that his score would always be low and he would never be promoted. That way he can play with people with much lower skill than him forever and take pleasure in dominating them. When he does that you should BM him because he is stats cheating.

How is that stats cheating?

I did a similar thing on Scrap a while ago. I wrote "sec plz" on chat and surrendered instead of pausing.
|
Sometimes more important things come up, or I thought I had time with a game but then it goes on for too long. Then I will just gg and leave.Could be the case here!

Your actual point should be 2500 Diamond but you pull this trick to make yourself a 400 Bronze, that is stats cheating, and that is punished on iCCup, but not on BN.net.
Back in BW, this caused many players to leave the game and discouraged many new players, and it is happening now in SC2.

I leave like that all the time. When I have to leave a game because my parents come home (lulz) then I just gtfo of there before I can get caught. xD

I think the term you are thinking of here is "Smurfing." It's not uncommon for these things to happen. I've faced my deal of smurfs in BW, but I knew that something like that would happen regardless. Besides, it's not like people face smurfs so often that it's becoming a rampant problem.

The guy probably just had something to do on his end, shit happens you know ? I would leave ladder games without a second thought if there was something irl calling for me. There are players who don't give a damn about winning or losing on the ladder, some of us only care about improving ourselves.
