Halo is probably the biggest competitive game on console in the U.S. because it's the main game for MLG.

Only PS3 games can't be pirated. In China Wii / Xbox360 pirated games are 2$. On topic, I've always prefered console games, but I am such a huge SCBW addict, that I have no other choice than play on PC. I used to buy every console, but since I started to play SCBW 5 years ago, I haven't played console games at all. The fact I was a student with no TV and only a laptop helped a lot, and now that I am working I might get a PS3 soon. But if you are a big fan of RTS and FPS, yes PC gaming > Console gaming. This isn't always the case, but being a member of multiple gaming forums, I see it happen a lot. I never understood why PC games look down on console owners so much since everyone has their own preference. what I hate about consoles is that they are such a bigger part of the market than PCs now and so pretty much all games must be made to fit them now. There are like 1-3 good "made for PC" games released a year now. this is bad becuase a lot of genres that I like (specifically RTS and FPS) are much better on the PC and are dumbed down in various ways to be better on the console (although no one takes console RTSs seriously lol). it hurts FPSs so bad becuase they have to design the game differently to be easier to play with a controller ( levels and enemies require less precise aiming and turning (much less "twitchy" gameplay), fewer actions that can be performed by the player, usually dumber AI, smaller levels, etc). the only good thing about basically all FPSs being made for consoles now is that I only have to upgrade my graphics card once every 6 years now because no one will make games look any better until then lol edit- also console people are such fucking suckers when it comes to DLC and stuff and now things that were always FREE before (map packs etc) are being charged for ridiculous prices from every developer that isnt valve or blizzard. and it's only a matter of time before they fall too.

Otherwise... Yeah, I agree. Whenever there is a FPS game that looks interesting to me then I end up getting it for PC. Playing a FPS on a console is frustrating at times, but it can be bearable. The problem is that FPS games on console is dumbed down with the auto aim feature, so you end up getting a lot of lucky kills or getting killed easily. I actually have Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for PS3 and I think it's a very good and fun FPS game (console version) for me. I would have gotten it for PC, but my computer is out of date, and most of my friends got it for their PS3 since they have the same problem. As for RTS, I'm not a big fan of the genre, but Brood War is an exception since I got hooked onto the game when I was about 11 or 12 years old. RTS games on console is just weird to me because I was watching a guy play Halo Wars on the 360 and it looks very boring to play imo.

I bought the game on the PC and it's just a lot better :D
