So I've played about 70 games of starcraft2 now and I still don't like the medievac. Its too high in the tech tree, it removes the choice of going for drops (you're getting them as healer, then oh yah, guess I can drop right into his base) and basically a ship healing a single unit from up in the sky is stupid, and I mean sci-fi stupid. Stupid even in sci-fi.
Second, the reapers. The only function of these guys seem to be to make two base play less of an option. You might see them very early game, if at all, but then they go poof because they have less durability than paper towels.
And while I'm already on the medievac and the reapers, can we agree that starcraft2 units are perhaps TOO mobile? Geography doesn't matter like it should, and like we've already established, a fast expo is unthinkable in most matchups.
You may have guessed I play terran, and you would be right. My favorite matchup so far is TvZ and my least favorite is TvT. TvT usually boils down to who has to most m3s. Oh right, before I get into that, anyone else think retreat should be a viable option? And yet blizzard seem to have gone out of their way to make it useless, be it by slow effects, speedlings, teleport or just the fact that even if you move at the same speed as something else you still get hit over and over. Why bother sending a scouting scv when its completely impossible to dodge even one zergling with anything but a straight line?
Right, anyway, so TvZ. I find if I do anything but mass marauders and marines until stim is done I get completely raped. Z definitely has an edge over T, unit-wise. I can spend the entire early game just pumping marauders and marines and the zerg is still able to expo without even laying down sunkens. Sunkens... Spine crawlers.
Zerglings are too tough, they need to die more easily. Several games I've moved out just as stim finishes, like 4 marauders and maybe 2 dozen marines, and I get raped by relatively small numbers of just zerglings. I learned to handle banelings, but why should the zerg bother with them if he can just go straight lings? Retreat is impossible, even with stim. Speed upgrade and autosurround made those things killing machines, they need to die faster.
Broodlords need a nerf. I think the whole deal with shooting broodlings is cute, but it doesn't work, they takes up way too much of my units' attention, and they rarely come alone. Its like his other units got a meatshield around them, as soon as one broodling dies another appears. Siege tanks blow my own shit to pieces.
I still like TvZ though. It may be imbalanced, in my opinion, but it's the most fast paced matchup, just like in SC1. TvP I like less because it usually boils down to who has the most stuff and then I go emp emp emp and then I win.
OK so lots of random rambling but the tl;dr of it is I think this game is alot of fun but still needs lots of work. Most of all I am missing micro (as terran) and geographic significance.

Disagree with basically everything.

I feel like there is a lot of micro involved in TvZ and TvP as you constantly need ot spread your army against AoE spells such as Fugal Growth and Psionic Storm

You were the guy that just got fired.... Now your rambling again...
= get your job back

get your job back and give me beta =) lol jk. the only thing i agree with is the broodlord nerf >

Zerglings aren't too difficult to kill although they are fast.
I think you are being too quick to judge on a lot of this stuff... Broodlords I'm on the fence about but if you are taking a beating then you probably have the wrong army to deal with them. They are after all the strongest zerg unit so don't expect to beat them with a tier 1 army.

Bunker + Siege expand into mass mech or air is definitely a viable TvT opener.
Maybe the Siege Tanks called in sick.

I feel like the BETA part of the whole thing needs to be highlighted more...
Also some of the trends you're describing seems like you're sticking pretty close to one series of strategies and builds. It might require some more time and experimenting with units to get a better mix.

"too high in the tech tree"
Fucking kidding me? It's a starport NO ADD ON requirement for a d ship AND MEDIC 2 in 1.

TL on the greater whole serves to raise my blood pressure these days... terrans/zergs bitching about ANYTHING makes my head spin but for the most part the shit people bitch about actually adds insult to injury.

Inc, something tells me you're protoss in sc2.

Yeah I'm fine with a dropship being that high up but I'm missing the medic in the lower tiers. Right now you basically stim your own units to death before you get the means to heal them.
So, I could come to terms with not stimming each fight, and you know, the medievac is GOOD, but that doesn't mean I like it. I'm saying I would prefer a gameplay with medics early and dropships late, right now you have nothing until you get both and I don't like it.
And I based the zergling whine on the fact that I could go straight to pumping marines and marauders constantly while I research stim, not making anything else but scvs and supply depots, and then move out at what ought to be a timing window and still get surrounded by zerglings out in the field and killed while the guy has even been able to expand. I usually win when the zerg has wasted resources on roaches or banelings.
And I wasn't complaining about TvP being hard, quite the opposite <3 There are pills you can take for your blood pressure.

This...
Add a few "SC2 NEEDS HEROES" threads in the mix and you got the sc2 public forums.

I've been doing fast medivac builds in every matchup and I'm like 14-2 so far with it but I think I'm playing mainly newbs.

You could have just saved space by saying your micro sucks. If you're constantly getting trapped, it's probably because you're engaging with too little, or you're waiting way too long to bail out.
