But, whether you think it is the loss of life or not, I think most people can agree it is an event that is not to be taken lightly. Because of that, I feel disappointed and somewhat sad that it can be refered to in such a callous manner. It doesn't make me angry (as the word nigger would if I were black) but hearing someone talk about an abortion that way just saddens me. It shows a... hardness that I don't think is necessary. In the end, because (I assume) people would all agree that an abortion is a serious and somewhat sombre affair, we all believe there is a loss of some sort. Whether you believe that loss is actually a human life doesn't really matter to me. It is a loss, and it deserves more respect than "scrape out". | ||
