After playing starcraft for as long as I remember, I've finally managed to shred the default rank as protoss ^_^

Last season I went 9 - 30, which barely kept me out of D-. I finally realized massing games really was the best way to improve. Joining the CPL definitely helped out too. Thanks to coaches and teammates who gave me a hand. At this rate I'll be C- by 2022 :D

Now if only I could raise my apm above 70 or beat a zerg :p

if your apm is -80, your not fully using your alphabetical hotkeys and barely using numerical. Force hotkeys into your gaming and watch yourself improve quicker. Takes time, for me took around a month for me to get my 70-80 APM to 90-99s. Now im 95-130s. just need to include your hotkeys.

70 APM is ridiculously low and you wont accomplish much but NEVER think that your biggest problem is APM unless you know everything and your too slow to execute something.

how did i improve? well uhh im not really sure. i play against my friend constantly and he helped me fix my mistakes and gave me tips, a mindset for buildorders, and stuff and stuff

As protoss, you want to macro. and macro. and macro. especially in PvZ and PvP. PvT requires more micro but yet easy.
Just have some one 200x better than you play against you a couple of times each day and youll see your improvement ^_^

make sure you actually think about what you're doing and why, and analyze your play. you get better like 10x than just mass gaming.

i'd just like to clear up your statement, saying that becoming familiar with all the details, building times, units attacks, range, watching reps of the best and thinking about strategy, and implimenting those ideas into games over and over again is the best way to improve. you could play for years with marginal improvement. you could also watch replays and read tutorials for years with marginal improvement.

Yeah dude, I am sort of C-, but at the start of the season I was massing games vs koreans, like 10-20games a day for 2 weeks! It was so painful but man it helps shitloads, I was on a 20 loss streak against koreans but now I can play solid C-/C players and win! Seriously dude, my advice take them head on!

I hit C- last season with 107..... I can see D+ at 80.

Btw, congrats! I hit D+ for the first time last season as well. Just keep playing, you might get even higher!
