I think Team Melee would be a lot more attractive for training if it could produce replays. Unfortunately it can't, making it a much less useful game mode in terms of preparing and tailoring builds and timings.
Pros always seem to surprise me in their interviews, citing non-S-class practice partners. For example, Movie deciding not to go for everybody's guess of Effort as a practice partner. Probably the high skill level in untelevised matches has something to do with this... gamers like Orion and Hydra might perform just as well in practice as Effort does on TV.
My guess is that he'll yet again pick gamers we wouldn't think of first, based on friendships, availability, and other factors besides the skills we see on TV.

Well, I think Sea is the best Terran atm besides Flash, but Really has more similar playstyle, so I'd go with him.

Maybe Idra can spare some time between TSL matches.

im pretty sure movie mentioned beating effort helped incrreased his confidence in the interview../

a lot of it has to do with the players being able to practice with each other. Movie might not of necessarily "picked" orion/hydra to practice with over effort, but effort had to practice for PL and so movie practiced with others who werent as busy.

Flash and Sea practice on west together whenever flash practices tvt for a match. I doubt he would help movie beat his friend =).

Poor Movie is doooooooomed. If he wins though - or even goes 2-3, he will earn so much respect. I just hope he thinks of some damn creative cheeses or pulls some novel strategy out of his ass.
|
also it's not all about the practicing
tbh the only realistic way movie is going to beat flash is if he prepares a series of new, unexpected, and possibly insane yet successful builds
there is pretty much a 5% chance that movie will actually beat flash straight up
he's going to have to collaborate with other good toss players to develop new strats and stuff if stork helped him that'd be sweet; stork helping movie develop a new strat to indirectly revenege himself for Bacchus 08 would make for some nice drama
|
In general, for advice Movie may consult Stork (PvT) and Much (Build creations). Both might be willing to help, moreso Much because of his previous stint in CJ.
In terms of Terran Practice Partners, apparently, and I know I'm going to get laughed at for this, Frozean is amazing in practice but unable to show that in live games. Maybe Movie looks there for help. Or, Movie could turn to Mind or SkyHigh. Mind does tend to have the same defensive style as Flash and Skyhigh is not bad either.
|
i feel like Canata and Mind and CuteAngel are all viable practice partners. but Movie's seriously going to have to work his butt off.

Movie will practice with idra obviously.

Movie should disguise himself as Flash and play FBH.

Kwanro's lategame > Kwanro's early game.
But people are too filled with hate to admit this.
|
The obvious thing is for Movie to pretend he's Violet and beg Flash for Proleague help
|
Sea is likely to help Movie, I think I remember him saying in an interview a while back that lately he's been cheering for Flash to lose.
Movie wants to get his hands on Really, though. 10-0 in his last ten TvPs, that kid knows his TvP.
Flash has Violet and Stats to help him (assuming Stats loses to Jaedong tonight), and Stork will probably help out too since they're good friends.
