EPTMy roommate received this set of drinks (Well...it's a liquid) that apparently helps reduce stress and increase focus...although...that's what he thinks it is. If anyone recognizes or can figure out what these are, it would be very much appreciated.

There's always ads showing an academic achiever holding a bottle of Brand's Chicken Essence in the media. It's given to people who are sitting for their exams since before it was commercialised during my father's time. Of course back then we made our own authentic stuff. 鸡精 is chicken essence in Chinese. | ||

the taste probably varies on the brand of the chicken essence (and if they add other stuff, like ginseng or other roots), but it tastes like a bitter chicken soup, so not too bad its also not cheap (~2-3 dollars per "jar"), so at least somewhat appreciate it | ||
