Not really the kind of metal I listen to, but it's definitely not bad, and even cooler that it's a community member doing it.
The weakest part I think is the clean vocals. There's not a lot of punch in them and just sort of feel weak.
There was also a weird volume dip just before the first chorus. That was kind of weird.
Very nice job, though. (:

Wow, you know you've done a decent job when PH says "nice job" haha. Thanks dude!
Hmmm... I'm surprised you think the cleans are weak. I for one think Jayden has a fantastic voice, it must be the way i've mixed them or the fact that it's a shitty 70 dollar behringer condenser mic haha.
Yeah the volume dip was my way of trying to make the first chorus "kick in." It was tricky to perfect that part but I'm more pleased with the result than a lot of the other options.
Thanks for the comments dude!

Haha, I'm surprised you remember me.
Anyway, yeah, it's nothing on the vocalist. His voice just doesn't really cut through the mix, I think.
Thanks for posting these. Keep 'em coming!

To be honest, beyond the screams, I can't really call this metal. It's more like that Hard Rock/Alternative Disturbed/Drowning Pool sound. I think you should just find your sound, and play around with other things.
But I disagree with PH with the cleans. The Cleans were great for hard rock etc, but the screams were definitely weak. Drumming is ok, same with the guitar, but it's all really... predictable.
Not saying your music's bad! I enjoyed the song. It was just a tad bit too safe for me, and I couldn't see myself listening to an album worth of it.

im capped but i promise ill check it out later :C

haha it's very mainstream I know. I picked "metal" because it seems more appropriate than "rock."
not sure how a 9/4 time sig with a 4/4 lead going over it (and 4/4 vocals) leading into some 5/4 shit is "safe" though
and I thought my screaming was nice
thanks for the comment though!

Sounds really cool! Have you played the drums yourself or have you programmed them?

lolol you people amuse me, try to record something that sounds better first plz
first of all - the clean vocals, my first thought also was that they didnt sound very strong, but only for 3 seconds (0:34-0:37) after that they sound great and fit the music perfectly. I know it's supposed to have that effect so that the part when he sings "very last time" sounds even stronger but that part just didnt quite sound right. Oh and later on at 2:41 the quiet part "from where I stand.." I think you should just turn up the volume of the ("normal") vocals, they are not loud enough compared to the guitars. I do love the last "from where I stand" before the chorus hits though.
Anyways I only wrote that because of the bitching about vocals I actually was gonna listen to the OP saying

Because after all this is some fucking well produced music, considering this was all done at home its impressive just how good and professional it sounds. And no your screaming isn't weak, it's pretty damn good, I can think of several bands with a record deal that have a worse shouter. Your growls in the background sound very good as well.
Of course there are still some idiots on TL who apparently didnt read the OP and want to bitch cause its not their kind of music and want to start another discussion about what is truely metal, just get off your fucking horse please, thank you.
Good job broseidon! + Show Spoiler +

Not really my type of metal, as I don't really care for the screams. Where there was no screaming was solid though in my opinion.

Haha cheers 7mk! I think people just mention that it's not their kind of music before they review as a disclaimer in case they critique something based on a different sound than what i'm going for.
