also i dont see anything incredibly proportionally inaccurate( like your picture of savior) in the samwise picture other than the fact that his battlecruiser and i think wraith? are the same size, but those aren't what he wants the viewer to focus on and dont really detract from the overall flow of the picture. edit: you said not to "be easy on you" dont say something like that and then rage lol edit2: + Show Spoiler + I dont rage, obviously you lack a basic understanding of what the proportions are, when you should stick to them completely and when you can exaggerate a detail or the whole shape of the body or whatever you do in order to achieve the goal that you want. You can make a green blop look like savior, you really can, if that will achieve your artistic idea. Will that be unrealistic and flawed? you are completely correct. The beauty in art is obviously in the eye of the beholder, that said the artist can see something completely different than the viewer. I see a very well done savior, I gave my opinion based on how I feel you could possibly improve it. nothing more. + Show Spoiler + When I said you can go hard on me I meant bringing valid criticism having in mind the concept of the drawing. Many ppl did exactly that and I'm very thankful. I cant judge my work, cause after spending 5 hours working on it, I'm no longer objective. Thats why I posted the thing here, and reading ppls posts, excluding yours, I really see what should be done otherwise. But the moment you say there is nothing unorthodox with the proportions of Sam's drawing, all your 5 paragraphs of "going hard on me" advices become completely meaningless cause you just showed you know nothing about drawing and art in general. I'm sorry, I think I misunderstood you, and the style you are trying to develop. If you feel that Sam's drawing has unorthodox proportions there is nothing wrong with that. because its a snapshot from a fantasy universe everyone will have differing opinions based on there past experiences in viewing a "marine" or a "hydra" or a "battlecruiser" because these are all made up things. their proportions can be altered and not lost in translation. however with a real life figure as specific as savior it becomes much more difficult to change him proportionally and still have the viewer see a "savior". this is why in MY opinion savior looks goofy to some people, mainly in the face.

From the nexk down, savior is perfect. From the face alone there is absolutely no way to tell who it is. You have to find what makes people recognize savior's face and emulate it, even if just in a cartoonish style.

Its about capturing the details which are typical for the person. skyhigh was easy with his glases and big nose.

Does it look like jaedong to you? If yes why, if no why again? Are the proportions the fucking reason behind the resemblance or the lack of it?

Pay attention to the important proportions and you will capture the important details that will help viewers to associate your art with savior.
