Perhaps things have changed over the years, but I recall that in the past, threads for the BW Strategy section had to be of a certain quality. I recall that people were explicitly banned from posting in the Strategy section for posting consistently stupid shit.

Nowadays, 99% of the threads are being created by people who either:

1. Are only observers and don't play at all.
2. Play at a ridiculously low level.
3. Are actually writing a blog about their impressions of recent games, split up into several dozen almost-uninterrupted posts, over the course of a month, and may have dissociative identity disorder.

I recognize that I have the ability to report these threads, however, given their number and how long they are staying up, perhaps I missed some sort of inflection point in which stuff like this became normal, and it would have been futile anyway.

So, what is the moderators' take on this? Are you going to abandon the Strategy section to be a cess pool of F rank players' opinions? Or, are you going to move them to blogs, which is where I think most of these "theory" posts belong, or at least BW General?

ETA: Upon reviewing the guidelines in the section, I guess at least two of those threads somewhat follow the rules by putting "[I]" in the title, but even then they run into this:

Please make idea threads have some relevance to an actual game of Starcraft. No Queen rushes.

Mate the brood war tl section in general o ly has like 10 posters anyway.

Strategy being taken over by these posters at least have it active xdddd

Edit:nvm I just saw that they are just spamming the section

Each of these three maps somehow nerf the 973 hydra builds. I'd really like to see both the low-ground stripe of KnockOut used more often in the future, as well as the particular double entrance layout on Revolver.

Here it's somewhat harder to pinpoint a specific feature. To me it seems like on some of these maps its particularly hard to play the midgame hydra/lurker zone control as Zerg. As Zerg, you'd like to have a single, big Lurker field which can be constantly reinforced and Protoss is forced to attack into it. Some of these maps either have a layout where the expansions are positioned in such a way that it's awkward to set up this defensive lurker field (Citadel, Blitz, Invader); or the map layout is in a way such that Protoss can attack into the lurker field from an advantageous high ground position (Butter, Pole Star).

A somewhat recurring feature might also be the presence of easily defensible, single-ramp highground expansions.

Last, there are some specific features that can be added to basically any map. One is the possibility to cannon rush at the natural, and another is the presence of tight spots at expansions where Zealots can be positioned so that only a single Zergling can attack them. Anything else?

Please add if anything is missing here and why you think the maps above are good for Protoss.

What other features could be used on maps that would help Protoss in this matchup? I think of particular interest are things that don't otherwise break or change the game too much, while also not having too big of an influence on the other matchups...

I = me = myself. We do things together always.

Why are posts like this allowed in the BW Strategy subforum? Why can a person with schizophrenia/dissociative identity disorder take hostage actual productive threads of said subforum? It's a growing problem and while it may seem punitive and/or discriminatory, I don't think that entertaining these types of posts is a helpful approach to keeping a website going. Activity for activity's sake loses value when activity is done by people who can't even figure themselves out, much less StarCraft's strategic depth and value.

there's a few posters who are either mentally unwell, mentally handicapped, or simply trolling. basically once they enter a thread, it gets derailed by their rambling

I assume most people that read these forums know to not interact with them but usually there will be a few rather new accounts which get baited into responding
