I was waiting intently for them to arrive, and when they did I immediately got the weaker of the two, Siddhartha to play me. I walloped him and with a great joy I exclaimed out loud "BACK TO THE PHILLIPINES BRO!!!" (don't worry we have been friends since third grade-a LONG time ago). And he was stunned. STUNNED. Because it wasn't just me winning. He was ROLLED. I was playing a TvZ (me being the terran) on Xel'Naga caverns. We were doing a private obs and I had a couple friends, who all went all-in on Sid immediately with the betting. I brought out a few marines and was doing some prodding at his natural.
I had about 5 marines, and he carelessly spent 7 larvae on zerglings, just planning to kill them then counter me with banes. He a-moved them into my marines then went back to his natural, just assuming he raped the marines, because I used to have no micro. But my kiting allowed me to lose only one marine and so I very nearly took out his natural with those 5 marines. Then I took my natural, and eventually my third, and I had a mmm with some tanks securing my fortress. I set out at about 15 mins with a drop, which I used to take out the entire right-side expansion he had hidden. At this point i knew he had ling/bling, but that was it. eventually at 150 supply and 4 bases i pushed, and got a great position with ma tanks. However, as he rushed his ling/bling army in, his comp spiked the lag to painful amounts, where i wasnt able to kite, but could only run from the blings.
The lings decimated my tanks, and i was 50 supply down from when I was 25 supply ahead. He immediately countered and luckily for me he charged the planetary at the gold. He blew all of his blings up/ leaving the planetary with only 7HP, where I was able to heal it as it took potshots at the lings, so he lost his entire advantage in one shot. I was able to remacro, and by putting a few tanks back with the planetary i was able to take down another expo (the gold, again) with my marines.
He was one base BEHIND at that point so I knew i had a lead. He had 2 mining bases, I had 3. His minerals were quickly drying up, but me maxed much more quickly than I did, and had a very large army. Only the tanks quelled his push. So he did a favorite of his and hid a nydus in my main. The worm finished, and when I heard the noise i facepalmed and quickly sent my units to my main. An enormous stream of lings was coming out and right then my latest round of siege tanks finished making from my factories, and they were instantly sniped, along with my marines moments later. My immobile tank marine army (with a few medivacs and ghosts thrown in) was unable to get up the ramp before most of my infrastructure was gone. This was a huge loss to me, because i was 170/122.
I knew that this would be my last chance, as i saw he was taking the last base on the map. If he got that up it would be GG. So I sent a single medivac full of marines to the base, and drew over his army, where I hit with the rest of my army the expansion on the other side of the map. Having alot of lings and seeing a few tanks placed there at his expo, he quickly move-commanded to get the surround. But i had placed a lot of my tanks on the cliff next to the watchtower, where they took potshots at the army, and I focused down almost all of the banelings. He quickly remacro'ed with a ton of infestors, but he FORGOT PATHOGEN so they couldn't fungel yet. With the banes dead I attacked straight into the natural, sieging all around the chokes there, and getting a 50/50 split with my marines on both sides of the hole at the natural.
He attacked, and only 5 infestors had enough energy to fungel. Unfortunately, his computer spiked the lag again and my ghost's EMP's where waaaay off of the mark. So his fungels ran rampant, doing MASSIVE damage. However, his lings had gone through the meatgrinder and were all but gone. My 2/2 marines had ripped them to shreds, and so when the dust cleared I had 11 tanks, and he had 11 infestors. Only that is not everything. His infestors were poorly controlled and headed straight. Into.My. Siege. Tanks. They all exploded in a gooey mess all over the caverns of the Xel'Naga.
And that is still not all. I had done a small drop on his last mining base. Each marine had 5 kills. With nothing left, and me having 7 reactored barracks' rallying marines, he GG'ed. Then, with my triumph, and my friend being stunned at the awesomeness that was that game, i challenged my other friend with insane confidence. But then it turns out he had been practicing too, and he raped me in a TvT. So for the rest of the time we stuck to to Island Defense.
