All I gotta say is, ignore the haters, and do what you know is right Riku! Ah, but it's so painful to be misunderstood...

Every time I receive a PM rooting me on or letting me know I put a smile on someone's face really brightens my day. You guys are awesome.

I was in your shoes not too long ago (as in soon to be graduating, looking for an internship). Here's what I would recommend to help jump start your career. By now, your Mechanical Engineering classes are probably so small to the point that you probably know all your classmates, at the very least you may never have talked to them but you do know that they are the mech e students around your level. Start talking to them about what their plans are after school. Ask them if they have found any internships or full time jobs yet? If so, ask them how much they are getting paid (yes it is a personal question but it's not as taboo as you think it is. They will voluntarily disclose that information or not.) and last, if the salary is attractive, you simply ask, can you hook me up! A lot of companies offer referral bonuses so it is in your friend's best interest to get you an interview. Career fairs work the best, it's easier for them to put a face to a resume. You also need a good resume, if it's rubbish, it'll get thrown away (I'll help you on this if you want). It's a good idea to get job offers on the table 1 year before you graduate, that way you can pick the highest paying, best benefits, most interesting work job. I have no idea where you live but I think the starting salaries for Mechanical Engineers are 65k, it might be higher if you are willing to relocate. Hopefully next time you ask for help, it'll be about how to "maximize your returns on your disposable income". (Grown up talk!) or find a rich guy and waifu him, get carried.
