My father only buys Chamisul, so I really wanted to taste Jinro. Later I got to know that Chamisul is a brand for Jinro. So I was drinking Jinro all the time without knowing. Here the English website for Jinro: http://www.jinrousa.com/product.asp Btw, soju is made of sweetpotatoes, not of rice, contrary to common belief. | ||

Its like 1$ or something in any corner store, tho I guess they might have more high end versions (lol 3.4$ high end :D). Btw, dunno if you know this, but you dont drink a glass of soju, just small shot glasses at a time. Anyway, it goes pretty well with Korean BBQ I think. | ||

I found it on a japanese airport and I just had to take a photo of it. I don't read japanese(well, I know like 5 kanji and most hiragana) so I had no idea what it meant. | ||

Die Hauptzutat ist Süßkartoffel, fast immer in Kombination mit anderen Zutaten wie Weizen oder Gerste. I am with German Wikipedia here. And to the Pic: Above Fresh ,In korean letters: "Chamisul" (the brand name). Dunno about the japanese letters. | ||

This is a tough question for me, since I drank pure vodka like 3 times in my life only, and soju only 1 time (lol). But I would take the risk to say that soju feels more pure, like a clear taste. I'd keep vodka to mix with other things and soju to enjoy it in it's pure form. Maybe someone else could help you on that matter ^^' | ||
