EPT4/10/11
First off I got to play quite a bit today. I played 17 games total and ended with a record of 8-9. I felt this was pretty solid considering I played and beat a couple of diamond players today as well as some higher ranked platinum. While playing vs Terran I did pretty well. I don't believe I lost to any terrans today at all actually. However since I am unfamiliar with the common builds and tendancies of the Protoss vs Protoss and Zerg matchups I am struggling a bit with those. I plan to fix this however. I have been saving replays of me getting beaten by those matchups and trying to learn what I could do better in those situations. For example today I did some analysis on a replay of a PvP matchup and learned how to 4 gate correctly. I still need some work learning when to transition correctly, but no longer am I defeated by 3-4 stalkers showing up at my doorstep at the 6 minute mark.
I also have spent a little bit of time watching some of Liquid Tylers replays. Since he is one of the best foreign protoss out there I figure he would be a good player to immitate. I plan to watch his games, especially in the PvP and PvZ matchups and learn from his play.
So considering I am new to the Protoss race in 1v1 and am still learning two of the matchups I think I did pretty well for the day. I almost won as many games as I lost and I gained a couple points in the process. Hopefully I will be able to get into the top 8 of my league soon. (I have found it is much harder because my league is active this time. Last season the top players in my league didn't play much so I just sorta walked my way up to the top 8.)
