What's it with the Madfrog hate? The guy is grinding his ass off on bnet, came up with some very impressive and unconvetional stuff and was in korea for wc3 where he ripped heads off.
|
Morrow or Sjow should be favorites.
I hope to see upcoming Swedish talents such as Cytoplasm and Fury in this!!
|
I'd love to see lalush chosen for some epic GSL BM. He's one of my favorite angry, volatile zergs with great skill.

I'm sorry if it comes of like hate, It really wasn't my intention. Madfrog was a great wc3 player, but that is off-topic. When he switched to sc2 alot of people just generaly assumed that he would be good at it. I watched vods / replays and realised he really wasn't anything, an opinon shared by those of my friends which i discussed his games with. After a while I started getting a bit annoyed with blizzard fanboying him and "the name fans" + Show Spoiler +people who doesn't actually have a clue about players skill but they hear their names and goes "oh yeah that guy is pro, I know this because I heard his name a couple of times" fueled by blizzards propaganda kept his name spinning.
I mentioned this now because I know some of those "name fans" will read this thread and post his name amongst the list of contenders. What I wanted was to spread light to the fact that contrary to blizzard beliefs... He really isnt anything. I don't hate, I am neutral.

Morrow, Sjow and Naniwa are top 5 the (foreign) world in their respective race imho. One of those should take it.
It will be MorroW>Sjow>Nani>Morrow etc, and the first one to break the chain will win.

Madfrog has been inactive for several weeks already. My guess is that he doesn't like the current state of the game and he's not motivated to practice. All zergs on Europe have a hard time and no one showed consistent results in a long time. I've been watching all Madfrog replays when he was active and he had a unique style indeed - maybe not the most effective strategies but it was different from other zergs; of course it was small things mostly, since it's hard to have much variety as a zerg player. I wish he would come back but he needs tons of practice in order to win this tournament.

Sweden is such a beastly RTS country. I just don't understand how you guys are so awesome -- I thought you were awesome before and now you turn into SC2 gods? No fair, Sweden, no fair.
Love this tournament idea. GSL berth tournaments seem like they'll become pretty major and regular events because of the "top international performers get in" thing that GSL set up. I'm really liking how that has started to impact the scene. The tournaments are all separate but interconnected in some ways at the same time.

I hope Morrow takes this, would be so awesome to see him and Jinro tearing it up in code S! :D
I BELIEVE IN YOU MORROW!! =D
|
Go MorroW!!!!! I really hope he wins. Anyone know when his schooling finishes this year?
|
Sjow and Morrow, one of those 2 will take the tournament.
|
This is gonna be awesome. Also it makes me notice which players are from sweden too besides jinro and morrow. I know nothing XD
Sometimes I wish stuff like that happened were I could participate. Then I remember I´m lazy as fuck and wouldn´t win anyway^^
I think Morrow played better when he was T. I know he said he has more fun playing as Z, but I think it´s more because he played T for business and Z for hobby. Hobby>Business always. Whatever. I´m also interested in how far the swedish guys make it, who got into TSL. Thorzain and the other guy. If he wins I´ll probably remember his name^^

Fascinating and interesting news to say the least. My prediction for who's gonna take it will just have to be MorroW. I feel like he really deserves a shot in Korea.
GL to all my fellow Swedes. Listening to the stream will be hella fun :>

I actually think Sjow would have better chances in Korea, compared to MorroW. Sjow just has a playstyle, that if practiced in the proper environment, could be perfect for GSL.
MorroW is absolutely solid, and there's no doubt that he would become amazing in Korea too, but I just get a better feeling from Sjow.

morrow always has good/consistent results. I hope he wins and makes it into gsl.
|
Hopefully morrow wins. He's the only one imo who could compete in the GSL. Morrow fighting!
|
This is such a fantastic opportunity for these players. I'm not quite sure why I want Nani to win this, but thats who I hope for.
|
apparently I need to check out Morrow, everyone is always talking about him.
|
|
theyre trying to 'find the next jinro' but they invite 10/12 players? dunno about that
