Unfortunately, I won't be able to play privately with you as I'm busy with classwork and other things, but I wish you the best of luck Chances are, if you're a silver/gold player, you need to work on basic mechanics and macro.

Some people will say this is a poor way to learn, but they are wrong. Forums, replays, VODs, playing ladder, join a team, experimenting, all good ways to improve. Don't pay for coaching, that's LOL.

You should work on that first. You can't play football if you can't run. You can't play RTS, if you're bad at macro e.g.

Strategies in silver/gold are just to volatile to really rely on the strategy advice you get from top player streams or the strat forum here. Build solid macro and then execute mutaling to learn muta and ling micro. If you are confident that you can finish games with 3 queens and little energy left on them without stocking a huge amount of larva, then you can go read the strategy forum to see how to counter some nasty pushes. Really. Up to medium plat, you won't find a guy who can 4gate every game perfectly, so you should be fine even against tactics that are designed to counter mutaling. Unfortunally, sc2 is much about mechanics ... nothing you can do about it.

As for watching pro streams/replays/day9 etc, already do that and yes I have learnt a lot through this but I just can't put it into practice as my practice partners are way way worse than we. Believe me when i say there is a noticable differnce between an average bronze and an active silve/gold player. Yes I suppose I will go though my most curernt replays tomorrow sometime and determine where my faults are (suprisingly I find this quite easy, but its just painful to pick out your own faults as im sure you guys know )

Do you ever miss a larvae inject timing? Work on that. 2. Does your money ever go over 500? Work on that. 3. Do you ever get supply blocked? Work on that. That's basic macro for Zerg silver/gold players

Addressing the whole "improve your macro" comment, there's really only two things you should have to worry about: - Keeping your money low - Getting as many drones as possible When you watch streams or replays, see how and when pros are droning and how many drones they have at a certain point. Try and replicate this if possible. Linked to this is scouting which is essential to safe droning. Keeping your money low is reasonably obvious, but there are issues such as when to put down a macro hatch and consistent overlord creation that may plague lower level players. This is obviously the tip of the iceberg, but the fact is that there's not much anyone could help you with that you shouldn't be able to figure out yourself. When you have free moments, just try and consider the purely theoretical side of Starcraft and don't worry about refined ideas such as timings. There are many things that you need to address before those. Just think about the relationships and implications of things such as unit creation, army creation, expansions, aggression and scouting. Then analyse and apply those thoughts to when you play or watch a stream/replay.

Having a feeling with how many drones you can get away with before making your army and when to expand. It all comes down to practice and getting to know the game in the process. It also helps a lot to get to know the other 2 races Without a reply or someone watching over your shoulder it's hard to give advice though

Basically I dont play enough and as such make a lot of mistakes that i dont think i make when im laddering reguarly. So i went through and analysed my play. Basically I define my style as a reactive macro style who waits till the opportune moment to strike. The problem was (after reviewing my losses) I was macroing shit as (ROFL) by which i mean i was just not making enough drones. So after realising this and determining what and where i went wrong I played a ladder game, just 1 at this stage where i beat a terran. Dryspell over. **I also got promoted to gold on this occasion in the sea server
