I just watch the ZvP with Idra and incontrol last night, talk about depressing. Idra had a lot of good little advice on how important it is to base your timings on scouting and to always be scouting, but when he lost to incontrol he basically blamed it on imbalance. It would have been nice if you asked him what he should have done differently to win that game, though that might have been a little awkward since he did seem a little upset over the lost. The DTs and his overseers constantly getting sniped really fucked him up though if you consider how much gas he spent on overseers on top of whatever the DTs were killing. Not sure what you can do about that outside of just trying to micro the overseers better.

Looking forward to watching the ZvT stuff as that match up is currently the bane of my existence.

The thing that has impressed me most about idra to this point is his incredible understanding of the timings of the game and how to interpret what he sees in his scouting. For example, last night when LZ was bringing a medivac in for what looked like a drop on XNC, Mr. B was worried about more than one medivac out somewhere and idra said something like "well, based on what we just saw in his base you should know it's not possible for him to have two right now". He didn't even think about it, it was clearly an almost subconscious observation on his part.

I know he plays the game a lot, but he clearly has an amazing ability to understand exactly what his opponent could have at different points in the game, which I'm sure makes it much easier to understand when he needs to be defensive and when he can drone.

Great games today, again! I will definitely re-watch the VODs for more detailed observations. The last game against Blade was a fine ending to the show, in my opinion much better than a funny game against a noob would have been.

Much love for Bitter, IdrA and Sheth (and Blade - i've been reviewing his recent replay pack, he is definitely a good zerg and performed well tonight).

on idra's frustrations in game vs incontrol - love the ego. idra know's for a fact that he is smarter and better than his opponent and therefore it must be an imbalance. only a few have what it takes to get to the top(of foreigners, in idras situation) and those who are at the top are sure that they are the best
