When watching streams, sometimes the thought "you could do that better" comes to mind, here are the things I'm thinking of:
when following a unit, don't click on the portrait, hit ctrl-shift-f and now the unit is both on follow and you can click around, this auto-disengages when you move the camera by yourself, so its quite seemless.
If you're an observer, observing another observer, your are following his/her camera, thats given, but if you hit escape a few times to clear your current selection, the game will show you what your target has currently selected. When watching replays I love to switch between the two players, just watching their persective and looking at what they're actually doing.
Things about the info tabs is subjective in the sense, that Day[9] doesn't use them very much, and that is a conscious decision according to himself. What do you think?
Edit: the default keybind for follow was wrong, its not ctrl-alt-f, its ctrl-shift-f

What ? I thought it was ctrl + f only. >_< They changed it on the new version ?

There still are some people who push the mouse to the edges of the screen to move around, which is super annoying as a viewer. Holding middle mouse button + moving the mouse around is so much smoother, which also applies for playing the game.

you actually can't see what another observer is selecting, only the players, unless they've changed it.

I'd love to see first-person cameras from time to time, even if its during macro moments I'd love it even more if it was from their actual computer and not from the observer follow screen, so that you can see the mouse cursor, but either would be fine.

I really wish artosis and tasteless would use the "units lost" tab more early game

Tastosis doesn't control the camera anymore; the observer does.
The observer does use Follow quite a bit on scouting workers etc; I like that.

I want to write a huge rant on the info tabs, especially the Production tab. In short however, I believe that the Production tab is a bad thing, and should very rarely be used in televised games (it's great for learning purposes though). All the other tabs are of very limited use, and quite situational- for the most part I think they are just a distraction from the game.

I want to know why there isn't a hotkey for the unit-follow camera yet :|

can you please elaborate? because i do not agree at all. the production tab is a great tool to observe transitioning that is going on (for example). army tab shows supply and corresponding army value at once. income tab shows current worker count and gained minerals per whatever unit, probably ingame minute.
@follow-camera discussion:
ctrl+f follow the unit while as long as you hold down the keys (=click on portrait). ctrl+shift+f toggles unit follow.
mhk?

Hmm interesting tip, hope more people use it.
