it's that time now, our plan is coming to its end and im going to be in charge of choosing phones for the family to get since im the most 'tech-savvy' of the family i guess. Here is where im standing:
1. AT & T
2. Family of 4 - sister wants iphone so we're only brainstorming for 3 phones.
3. Mom is very bad with tech, wants something simple but works. gets WOWed by touch screens but not obligatory. phone with plan must be <25$. (under 10 texts a month)
4. Dad is hard of hearing. Has a liking for all things techy, he follows tech closely but isnt exactly great with it. Favorite phone is RAZR2 V9x but at&t doesnt carry it anymore. call quality is #1 priority since he is hard of hearing and he does not text. aesthetics is important because of his tech eye. <100$ with plan, only payed 100 before because it was a razr2 v9x.
5. me. I text ~150/month and my favorite phone so far has also been the razr2 v9x. call quality is important to me but size is also very important to me. it cannot be too huge. the razr2 was a good size for me, so nothing TOO much bigger than that (i understand razrs are small). I walk around in bball shorts a lot and i cant have something too bulky in my pocket. I also have bigger than average hands (6'0 180lbs, 155apm lol). **I am anti-apple so i will not get an iphone for myself**
I am aware of the phones they are offering and a little about their pros and cons, so please dont just say "get the samsung evergreen" and expect me to take your word for it. explain your reasoning for me if you can, and i greatly appreciate your help :D

I guess you didn't even read the OP. The OP said it himself -- he is 'against Apple' (which is perfectly normal, as I know many people that are). This means he will NOT get an iPhone...

I'm kind of in a similar situation. My parents have AT&T and their contract is up. No idea what phone they should get... they currently have flipphones lol.

I think TL needs a phone help sticky Seen a few posts of these recently and with xmas coming so soon probably more will come.

I use gsmarena.com a lot to filter out phones so that I can see a list of ones that I like. Shouldn't be that hard to find the phone but it'll be a little pricey if you want to get an unlocked one.

Update: I will probably get the samsung rugby II for my dad since it is within the given price range and it has supposedly very reliable call quality (meets military standards). Also, both his and my razr2 broke from being dropped, and this phone's supposed to be more durable.
so i am thinking about getting this phone for myself as well. still looking*
