Horang2, Movie, Snow
The Protosses have been very active.
Horang2: I won along with Snow and Movie-hyung, which is great. I’m honored to be able to do an interview with them.
Snow: It’s good that three Protosses won together. It’s almost magical [laugh]
Movie: It’s really been a long time since an interview. This is like the first time getting interviewed in SPL.
You played after the team was down 0-2
Snow: To be honest I was pretty nervous. Even though I was confident, Soulkey has been very scary lately. But it seems Soulkey was nervous in game too.
You have a history with Soulkey.
Snow: I’ve met him a lot recently. MSL Prelims, Dreamleague, and OSL too. I don’t even want to play him anymore. If I lost there will be people saying there’s a gap in our abilities. I could always beat him, I’d be upset if I lost [laugh]
How do you rate your abilities?
Snow: I played like I wanted to, but my hands were shaky, and I made a lot of control errors.
You haven’t played much this season.
Movie: I’m not satisfied either with how little I’ve played. I feel it’s disappointing.
Is it because of Snow and Horang2 that you haven’t played much?
Movie: It’s not because of that. It wouldn’t matter even if Bisu was on our team. If I played well, I would definitely have the chance to play. There are a lot of players on our team now, it’s a good atmosphere.
Thoughts this season?
Movie: Recently I’ve played well. It’s totally different form the off season. I’m very confident, and when playing I never even consider losing. I think I can perform differently now.
There are more core players on the team now.
Movie: A while ago, I felt my experience was pretty rich. It’s different now, I’m humbled when watching my teammates play, and I’ve learned a lot. But, I think Horang2 is very proactive in teaching me stuff [laugh] Kidding, kidding. But really, Horang2 is great [laugh] Every player has his unique characteristics, so more Protosses is a good thing.
Are you ambitious for the ace position?
Movie: I want to get 40 wins. Last season’s goal was 40 wins. I will definitely realize it this season. I think I only got around 20 wins last season. Also, I think our team has the strongest Protoss line in the league [T/N: liessssss]
You played when the team was in danger, and managed to take it to ace.
Horang2: With Movie-hyung next to me, I don’t know why but I feel confident. I don’t feel like I’d lose. He gave me a lot of good suggestions and also gave me the confidence to feel like I’ll never lose PvP. [T/N: Bromance between Movie and Horang2 xD]
You’ve done better after you transferred.
Horang2: My practice is more multi-dimensional now. And all the teammates are really good so practicing together is helping me improve.
Movie: It’s mainly because of me [laugh]
Horang2: (to Movie) This is my interview! [laugh] Like Snow, he’s good to me during games.
Snow: I’m sloppy when it comes to practice [laugh] I just help him practice the basics, but he says he’s happy when he wins in practice [laugh]
Central Plains is your main map.
Horang2: This is a question for the head coach. All the players have to do is play well. This question is best left for the coach [laugh]
You’re truly a part of CJ’s Protosses now, how do you feel?
Horang2: Pretty standard. I’m naturally friendly and open. But Snow seems like he’s calm and tranquil, living together with him reveals that’s totally not the case. I only thought so when we weren’t familiar with each other.
You seem pretty tranquil too yourself.
Snow: You’re totally wrong if you think that [laugh]
Horang2: No, no. In reality he’s a friend who’s warm like a thermos [T/N: OK this is really weird to translate to English I have no idea how to say it so it doesn’t sound hilarious/retarded lol. The idea he’s trying to convey is like…passionate and friendly I guess?]
How’s your relationship with Movie?
Horang2: Our relationship has been good to begin with, but maybe this is a one-sided feeling from me [laugh]
Movie: Word is that he’s one of my fans. We’re close like that [laugh]
Last words?
Horang2: The company’s going to buy su fried chicken now. I feel like after I eat it I’ll never lose. Food5 [T/N: great name lol!] helped me practice late into the night, thanks to him.
Snow: Thanks to assistant coach Zeus, he taught me a lot. Thanks to the head coach. The practice partners helped me late into the night, and especially thanks to 송영진-hyung [T/N: There’s 2 송영진s in the TLPD, but one’s retired and one’s on Fox. I’m not sure which one Snow’s referring to.]
Movie: Thanks to my teammates who helped me practice, and thanks to these two guys next to me. I haven’t played much recently, thanks to them for helping keep our winrate up.

Thoughts on winning ace?
-Even a slight error would’ve lost me the game, but luckily I won. I’ve always done well against Woongjin, I’m glad that habit is continuing.
Did you know you’d play ace?
-No. I wasn’t able to warm up and lost in game 1, so I asked to play the ace after that, and I got the head coach’s trust.
You lost after being in a very commanding position in game 1.
-I was confused about it too. I had the advantage, but I wasn’t focused, and there were a lot of regretful points in the game. I didn’t even know and lost 1 o’clock, my resources were limited, and my Zerglings kept getting whittled down. The opponent grabbed the timing.
Losing like that gave you the drive to excel.
-I wasn’t supposed to play in ace, but I told myself “I must play game 7,” and the assistant coach heard that and asked on my behalf.
You rematched free.
-I’m glad. From the moment the game started I thought that I had to win. Scenarios from the first game kept flashing through my mind.
Are you satisfied that you were able to successfully avenge yourself?
-I didn’t practice enough, so the game wasn’t clean, but I still won it, and won it for the team. I’m satisfied on that point.
A lot of High Templars died to Mutalisks.
-I actually didn’t have a set opening, I just played spontaneously. The opponent had a lot of Zealots, so I trusted that my Mutalisks would get something.
It feels like your abilities have went up a notch after the 10-11 season started.
-After Effort-hyung left, in order not to hear that we’re weak now, all the Zergs have been working hard. We haven’t heard anything of the sort now, so we’ll play even better now. For me personally, I feel like I have a responsibility to play better than last season.
The individual leagues are about to begin, thoughts for the future?
-I really want to play more games. If I play I want to win them all. I’ll work hard and win everything.
Last words?
-I’ve been troubled lately, and thought a lot, but after talking with the head coach, it’s all settled, and I’m more focused now. To be trusted to play the ace today, I’m really thankful.
