Just look at that mouse, seriously - look at it. I expect better from Razer. The Salmosa is epically good - that thing looks awful. This is them just trying to convince niche, finicky gamers (us) to buy the latest shiny thing. I'd seriously have a hard time believing many mice were better than the salmosa for RTS.

abyssus has 3600dpi (and is loads better than the salmosa) spectre has 5600dpi Depending on how it feels in the hand it should out perform all previous Razer mice. That being said, even if I shelled out $80 (~¥500!) I would certainly tape up ot disable the silly "APM" lights.

What could you possibly do with 5600 dots per inch that you couldn't do with 1800 dots per inch?

Salmosa and maybe the Abyssus are the only remotely worthwhile mice they have for cost. And since they're discontinued now, you should probably just buy a cheap logitech one and save your money.

For example, click on an scv and the letters B, V, A, P, H, ESC AND S light up. Then press B for build and S, R, B, E, T, C, U etc light up. Select the building for placement and everything dims until the next unit/building is selected. Id definately buy that keyboard and id love playing in the dark. Edit ; i should have this patented

Salmosa has the best shape - that's all that counts, this DPI stuff is a wank - the pros in Korea are using 11$ Logitech mousman mini or whatever the hell it is.

OBVIOUSLY it's so you can use your 5600 dpi mouse to play Starcraft with a 1600-pixel wide monitor on a surface that's only 1/4 of an inch wider than the mouse itself! Just THINK of all the SAVINGS in DESKSPACE not to mention the ergonomic savings you gain from barely moving the mouse at all. Do you realise how much USELESS WASTED SPACE would be saved if everyone bumped up the dpi on their mice to 5600 and chopped down their tables and mousepads appropriately. Did you know that for every 486 people using the Razer Spectre, Earth frees up enough room to house one more person of moderate girth? That's our overpopulation crisis sorted right there! I have it on good authority that the World Health Organization is cooperating with Razer to produce a 11200 dpi mouse for use in urban centres in India and China. The ecological benefits of Razer mice are HUGE!
