Hey teamliquid!
I am posting here today because of a current problem I have. I am absolutely in love with Starcraft and the teamliquid community, yet have almost no friends at all from here, and on top of that I know absolutely zero people in real life that enjoy Starcraft.
I play SCII almost all the time that I have off, and it gets old sometime when I have no one to practice with, chat about games or pro gaming etc. I absolutely love watching the Proleagues, I play to get better and have fun whether I win or lose, and I enjoy theorycrafting. I find it kind of surprising I've been around the scene since 2003 and maybe have met 1 or 2 people like this that have since come and gone.
Even the practice partner thread was a failure to my hopes. Every single person (15+ added) I have tried from that list either dodges, has no interest other than 1 or 2 games and no chat, or is just never on at all.
So, teamliquid, is there anyone out there that actually fits the description I've listed? It feels weird blogging about wanted friends, and in all reality this is what this is - a call out for some new friends in this amazing community.
Thanks for the read, cheers to some new friends :D
*EDIT* Seems my title didn't really fit the tangent I went off on, I guess as I started I totally changed the point of this blog ~

I really wish I had your luck, I wasn't even exaggerating that number at all. I have had 2 games from the same person out of those 15 (that responded, a few more didn't) I added.

Hm. What's your skill level and race?
I'm sort of in need of a Protoss practice buddy, for my TvP isn't so great. =(

Right now I am Diamond 1040 pts. I'd like to practice my PvT too :D

=D I've not played enough ladder games to know my exact point value, but I'd imagine we're somewhat similarish in skill. My TvP feels soooo weak though. =( I haven't quite figured it out yet.
I can't promise I'll be able to play a TON, but certainly if you run into me at the right time and my RL buddies aren't online, we'll be able to hammer out a bunch of games. I should be online practicing a bunch the next 3-4 days.
Mikilatov.827 =)
Also, I've been practicing with an RL Zerg buddy of mine a lot, he's around the same skill level and plays Zerg. Would be epic to all get together and play a bunch of games. Take turns observing and whatnot, if you're interested. =D I love obsing games and so does he. We also have teamspeak.
Anyway this feels like a PM, so see you on b-net. =)

I will ask around on behalf of you my good man

I find TL pickup as the best way to get practice partners. When you add people from the thread there is a good chance they are not on line. Ask in #tlpickup and wait 5-10 min and you can usually get some one of comparable skill and get a few good games in.
