i know help blog's are looked down on, but this is fucking killing me. i can't find the solution anywhere; tried googling it but irrelevant results popped up.
while reformating my laptop i accidentally, so fucking stupid of me, clicked in agreement to a program that starts up before windows does. some sort of easy access bullshit, that is categorized by 3 columns; email, a search engine ( dnno wtf) and some picture shit, the background is black, and i dnno how to get past this to windows except press f9 and start windows normally.
the question is, how do i disable this stupid fucking function.
pic below of wtf this is, sorry for my ignorance, forgot to read what i accepted to.

just a thought: why don't you simply reformat again? should not be much work lost if you just do it again after you just did it.

this happened almost a week ago, and im so fucking reluctant to restarting my cpu of fear of this shit popping up. i already downloaded shit pre-fuckup and after.
|
can you system restore at all? not sure if that would actually work but it's worth a shot...
|
You can just go to the control panel and uninstall the program?
Edit: I didn't read correctly, that it starts up before your OS...
I think the best thing would be to restart and find out the name of this... then you'll have more luck.

What's the name of the program? Google it and see how to uninstall it maybe?
|
just check the list of processes launched at windows start up, with the msconfig utility.

I know some Asus motherboards offer the ability to install a small OS that boots fully functional within like 5 seconds. It sounds like you have this, or at least something equivalent. I think Asus' is called Express Gate. Either way, doesn't it have a name? Just boot it, check the name and google a way to uninstall it.
EDIT:

It's simply a stripped down OS that you can boot instead of Windows in order to have really quick access to the web, mail etc.

There is an option in your BIOS to turn this off. Not sure where, but you can find it To enter the BIOS, you need to press some keys when booting. Just read the screen, it will say something like ''F10: Enter setup'' or something like that.
Just for info, as said before, some motherboards have this mini-OS to let you get to internet and stuff in <5 secs.

yeah, i'm running windows 7, i think its a program for it. when i installed it( or whatever) it said i can turn it off through control panel, now i searched for it for fuck knows how long i cant see the option. fuck
it's not anything like safemode looking. it has sleek design, like it's an intentional option for the user.
but i don't understand the option, as you can't even exit it and continue to windows, which is fucking useless.
sorry for the lack of communication, was afk for a while.

right now the only way i can bypass it is by pressing f9 at startup screen and selecting boot order, but im trying to find a permanent fix. :S fkfkfkfkfkfk

The boot order should carry over to the next restart though, right? Granted you change the boot order through BIOS, sounds like you're entering a different menu to maybe change the boot order once? Anyways, if you can boot in just un-install it (granted it's not malware, which tbh it sounds a lot like).
