just watched the VODs. i really wanted fantasy to win and i thought he had it in the 5th game but flash is too good.. no matter how hard you try, flash somehow ends up winning. somehow.

After skimming through a few pages, looks like Game 5 was a total fluke and Fanta failed to properly use his units? Damn it... Guess I'll have to watch all games and cry at the end.

Game 5 was weird, Flash had 3 or 4 bases constantly but the bases wasn't saturated. The mineral patches on 1 and 3 have like barely enough scv even when its safe.
Seems like Flash is tired, he can just ended all with 1 big drop.

But credits to Fanta being able to defend all that with lower base and gas the whole game.

Fanta didn't lose the game over two spider mines in set5. That cheapens Flash's achievement. Fantasy lost set1 & 2 like it was a beat down. He had small advantages, but blew it allowing Flash to play on his terms and get strong until he could win. Set 3 was also going Flash's way, I don't know how he lost it. Fantasy lost in set 1 & 2, set 5 was just a fluke, just like set 4.

spectacular series.

key points:

- flash playing the counter to the concept he created on PR which fantasy is now playing
- the contrast in wraith positional awareness, control, and general activity
- flash getting downhilled about a million times everywhere
- flash getting dropped in his main and conceding it
- flash repeatedly fighting just to fix his unit composition
- flash playing 2 near perfect games
- flash fastmarch on bot left game 1

3set flash didn't get enough for his wraiths and the game had effectively frozen (flash controls the key bridge but cannot attack 9). then he forgot about bc's and then he couldn't get his composition right.

4set was not a fluke, fantasy took the eco lead and rode it out after he won the first fight handily.

5set was flash knowing what fantasy was doing better than fantasy himself. he compounds the effect by playing a clickyoutodeath opening, which mostly worked. his play on PR in this series was very much focused on defense to offense transitions.
