If you havent played through campaign yet, then don't read this
+ Show Spoiler +So in the final mission Kerrigan is deinfested by the Artifact, Tychus shot by Raynor and most(if not all) of the zerg on Char being incinerated by the Artifact pulse. So what will happen in Heart of the Swarm? It seems that the Zerg has apparently lost their main leader( and likely player character)aswell as their main power base in the Koprulu sector devastated. So first of all Blizzard is going to have to conjure up a new protagonist for the zerg( we obviously need a new main character for the zerg, pref a cool one) Who will this be? Duran,a new cerebrate/overmind , another infested human or hybrids ? The interesting thing is that Blizzard stated that you will control Infested Kerrigan in the HoTS expansion(quoting this from http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Heart_of_the_Swarm)This raises the question, will Kerrigan be reinfested? Personally i Don't think so, Blizzard is better at writing stories than that. Either way i think we can really expect some interesting story in the next expansion.

I'm guessing blizzard is going to write stories in the same time frame. I remember in the campaign where kerrigan depicted somewhat of a jesus model. (It's really vague in my memory as I didn't focus on the story much.) Maybe in her shoes in the last mission, she had another one or even many goals after preventing terran from stopping the zerg. Maybe. haha

+ Show Spoiler +Looking at her hair, I'd say she isn't totally uninfected. I think she'll still be able to control zerg in small numbers while retaining her humanity, which also allows Blizzard to implement the progression of Kerrigan as they wanted - the better you've upgraded Kerrigan the more zerg she can control. Maybe she'll side with Raynor and help bring down Mengsk. Possibly Raynor will be out of the picture somehow, putting her in this position - it'd be very easy for Valerian and Mengsk to grab Raynor directly after that last cutscene.

Bolded statements seem incompatible... The single player's format is cool but the story is absurd.

u can't ungrow hair, if she shaved her head and let it grow back it'd be normal again i think

My take on this is: + Show Spoiler + The game will have a much more RPG-like feel focusing on Kerrigan being half infested/healed and trying to regain her dominance over the Swarm. Raynor will probably be trying to take down Mengsk, Zeratul will be busy with more things in the void, leaving Kerri to try and regain her powers and bend other rebellious broods back to her will.

+ Show Spoiler +You have no idea how disappointed I was that Duran didn't show up inthis campaign
|
+ Show Spoiler +I think they leave Tychus's body there and he becomes the new master of the Zerg.
|
+ Show Spoiler +Kerrigan's humanity must be saved, she and the zerg are key to stopping the hybrids

+ Show Spoiler +I think he was hinted to have appeared. The name of the head of the Moebius Foundation, the guy who gave Tychus the locations of all the artifacts in the first place and wanted all of his data destroyed in the Moebius mission, is named Dr. "Narud". And if you spell it backwards...

Never noticed that , nice find :D

+ Show Spoiler +How could Kerrigan maintain control over any zerg when the power she had was taken away? Why would she want to control the zerg when the only way to do so would be for her to change her personality and become a murderous, evil sociopath? Even if they find a way to infest a human in such a way that he would be able to control the zerg and keep the same personality as well, why would they pick Kerrigan for that, why not some other Ghost such as Tosh? After everything she has gone through why would Raynor ever consider making her go through that again? Maybe if Raynor wouldn't trust anyone else with it, but can he really find not a single capable person? I mean, you can train ghosts every single mission, surely he must have some he trusts?

mensk imprison raynor and kerrigan is using whats left of her zerg abilities to get the power to rescue him \o/

+ Show Spoiler + He's busy screwing around w/ more hybrids obviously. I was more disappointed about the lack of the UED. I mean what, did they just run in fear that no survivors reported back from the sector? Come on, it's been 4 years!

+ Show Spoiler +Alright this is how its going to work. Zeratul said kerrigan is the key to the universe being saved from the hybrids right? He didn't say she had to be human in my opinion its going to be that they find out that kerrigan has to lead the zerg to for the universe to be save. Cheesy sayings between kerrigan and raynor as they say there good byes and she becomes the queen of blades again just less evil. blah blah blah kerrigan finds out her powers have been greatly diminished from being human and does a whole bunch of stuff to gain her powers back. Ending she fights some hybrid boss saving the protoss before legacy of the void where the final battle vs the hybrids will be fought. Anyways Duran will probably make some appearances to try and stop her from regaining her powers.
At least thats my take on it

Yeah, but why would that be Kerrigan, what makes her so unique she would have to take on that responsibility?

Well, that's just silly powerlevel talk that doesn't belong in a story.
