but yeah... Miyaki's lyrical ability is great, and hearing Hiroko's voice always cheers me up. I seriously think mihimaru GT is one of the best (if not the best) groups ever for this decade (2000 - 2010).

This couldn't go in the anime thread? At least hide it better instead of having "Samurai Champloo" out front and center holy shit If the 2nd song wasn't used in an anime fine, but the first one, I mean SERIOUSLY?

The ten to twenty posters who post here realize that the OP exists. So again, what is kosher here? ELT's Grip, Inuyasha Opening Mai Kuraki's Time After Time, used in Detective Conan Q: Why are the songs above are fine? A: Because.. 1. They have their own standalone PV that they used for promotions, not something anime related 2. Which means that the song is also targeted for listeners that aren't associated with anime Seriously Japanese music is pretty broad in terms of stuff you can listen to. Unlike general Korean Music, in which the spotlight is mostly shined on a select group of idols and distinguished singers, you can listen to so much good stuff from a variety of people. Yes, groups like Arashi, Morning Musume, Perfume, etc tend to get a lot of popularity but unlike Korean Music (which you have to put a decent effort to identify other good artists / singers, but they are there, i.e. Soya N Sun and Humming Urban Stereo), you don't have to search as hard to find something that can satisfy someone's musical tastes. So it's pretty insulting in my opinion if I see an anime exclusive song on here because Japanese Music has SO MUCH MORE to offer to listeners than just anime OST's.

I had Mai Kuraki's Album when I was a teenager and it had time after time on it and that was the only song I liked when I listened to on an 10 hour plane trip. Then I some how lost the CD and been searching for this song ever since. THANK YOU.

If your intention was to glorify any sort of greatness from music that comes out of Japan you are doing yourself a disservice to shun music posted here created by mother fucking Nujabes. Take a moment to contemplate what you are doing. Also Samurai Champloo came out 5 years ago dude. He's not posting the newest bleach or w/e OP.

i understand that the japanese scene isn't gonna be the same and that anime is a different medium, but the principle should still remain - judge it as its artist intended, not just by its association.
