I recommend Celtic Kings: Rage of War and Kohan: Immortal Sovereigns. Single Player is horrible on CK:RoW but playing Skirmishes was really amazing.
Can't find Kohan 1 videos on YouTube but this video is pretty similar, its the second game in the franchisé but the first one is much better.
Couldn't find any video of CK:RoW but i could find a video of a sequel named Celtic Kings: The Punic Wars. Apparently the sequel features another playable faction
I guess Duke3d, Might and Magic VI-VIII, HoMM 3, (Open) Transport Tycoon Deluxe, Rollecoaster Tycoon, Theme Hospital... from the top of my head, there's just way too many old games that have at least decent entertaiment value.
With all the (S)NES emulators, Dosbox and whatever counted in too, the size of game pool increases manyfold.
Oh, and Myth: The Fallen Lords, this game was insanely hard back in day, even nowadays it offers a good challenge and damn the LAN games are awesome.
I still play FF8 on my PS3 from time to time. For PC, I quited PC gaming a few year back so beside SC and SC2 I dont really play any PC games anymore. But every New Year Festival in Vietnam, me and a few of my friends still play CS together..omg I loved those time
Instead of replaying old games these days, I just watch whatever Kikoskia is Let's Playing. (www.youtube.com/kikoskia). Funniest LPer on YouTube for sure. Fortunately for me he's halfway through a Deus Ex playthrough ATM (one of my favourite games) as well as a few others so I'm entertained as hell.

You make it sound so badass... let me just watch someone else play this old game! rofl..

Yeah, i also tend to read/watch LP's of older games instead of actually playing them. The LP-ers can create quite enjoyable experience in otherwise dull game or in genre one would never play.
i would recommend Let's play archives for many good LP's. personally i read: Boatmurdered (an Dwarf Fortress LP - it got me hooked on that awesome game) Headshoots (another DF lp) UFO lp's (i liked first the most) Fallout lp's (especially the one with stupid INT:3 char in F2) FF8 and some othes not really worth mention i think.

Lol, for some reason I just feel lonely playing old games. I feel like I'm the only one in the world playing xyz right now. So I watch someone play through it who is commentating and adding jokes as well as participate in the comments section. It works for me =D.
www.powerballzone.com is starting their Smallpub Draft League. If anyone is interested in learning how to play lemme know. The first round of league games are tonight. Powerball Zone is a zone within the game Continuum/Subspace which is arguably one of the oldest massive multiplayer games still running.

that wasnt an RPG, they called those "adventure" or "quests"
and best one was gobliins series hands down, sorry! And close second would probably be legend of kyrandia
edit: this just actually reminded me of this AMAZING game that came out much later
if you havent played neverhood you probably should.
WOW, I have not seen that game or thought of it for at least 12 years. But if anyone has not played neverhood you definitely should. Kyrandia was also pretty good too.
X:Com UFO Defense and it's variations (e.g. terror from the deep) as well as Pharoah + its expansion pack Cleopatra which was a city builder type of game with various campaigns. Both were very well done.
