I couldn't move sadly to shoot Jaejin and Seunghyun more than I did for their solo stages. Hongki was amazing though - gorgeous voice and tonnes of energy.

Still waiting for the second half of the pics to load, but hmm, the art hall is indoors right?
Do you use external flash or were you on low aperture? The images aren't blurred, compared to the ones I took in my school's indoor concerts.
Oh and you were using Canon? Which?

yeah, looks pretty vibrant
haha interesting one guy looks like hwasin

It'd be nice if you elaborated on konadora's post, as I just got a camera and need to get familiar with all the technicals.
Nice photos! Gotta love the last one.

Yes, it is.
It's not possible to use any kind of flash at events like this. I personally don't use my external flash right now since I haven't had a chance to practice doing a photo shoot with it. I'm planning to practice over the next couple of months before using it for esports shoots if possible.
I was using my bog standard set up of Canon EOS5D plus the IS/USM f/2.8 70-200mm lens. The ISO was set to 800 and all the settings on neutral. They were all edited in photoshop to improve the depth of bokeh and make the curves (brightness/contrast.) pop a bit more.

Awesome awesome stuff.
Your 5D is so awesome...T_T.
Its reputation for great ambient light photography is no joke.

mmmmh impressive
one day I should get myself a 5D as well. No way I could get such high quality photos under such lighting conditions

I've tried out my friend's 70-200mm (it costs SGD1000 or so iirc) and it's a really good lens (though it's kinda heavy haha). Surprised you can get such quality at ISO 800 under such lighting conditions.
Great pics as always, negg!
5/5 :D

Thanks I actually had Mr.Kang from Fomos go through his standard settings with me so I could shoot properly at PL and other SC events. They seem to work pretty nicely for me elsewhere too. Also, tell me about it :/ That lens is so heavy I often get pain in my shoulders/wrists after using it for big events. After MSL finals I had neck pain for over three days.

It comes with some lock to your lens, so you can just leave your camera hanging at your side when you're not using it. Just have to be careful not to knock your camera/lens at random stuff ^^;;
5D.. man I'm using 400D T__T
Friend's using 1D Mark II though, bought the 400D from him second hand :p
From the pics, I thought you were using 85mm 1.8 or something haha, very nice bokeh.

I'm thinking of buying a less pricey Canon for daily use so I'd definitely need something like that. The 5D is my 'special events' camera so it only gets used once in a while. My shoulder is giving me grief today though ;_;
