Things have slowed down massively on the writing front. I'm struggling to get past a difficult part. I've done a few more models in the meantime, and am updating several old ones.
Again, I rendered with no smoothing on.
^ The Vykalis. This is a very small, very low-poly corvette for the Xy`Kranasha. An old model I polished up.
^ A destroyer, the Anahn Thunderhead. Also an old model I revisited and did some major modifications to, including making the turrets (which I tried to make as low poly as possible). yes, it has 2 rows of Railcannons on the front + 2 rows of Flamelance cannons on the front as well.
^ Xy`Kranasha Ghattakhan heavy destroyer. Those big things on the sides are psionically-controlled mass drivers. 6 hour modeling time, about 21k poly iirc. Over half of that time was spent fixing tremendous fuckups on the model from me not paying attention when I was beveling out sections on the supports, and it bevelled out a lot of the front of the ship I had to rebuild by hand with cuts.
^ My current WIP. The Xy`Kranasha Glecterror, a stellar-sized megaship-class. As this is a megaship-class, I can go over 100k poly if I so desire. Unfortunately because this was an old model, and because I am not that skilled, I cannot detail to that kind of level. So it's around 20k right now and only needs a tiertary basic weaponset and more support ribs for the bottom cannon arrays (which are designed to break off and warp into enemy targets of interest if they become heavily damaged).
