So I was talking in a thread about MSU Starcraft and it made me start thinking. We need to have a Midwest LAN.
Facts: The venue I'm thinking of using is one that has hosted many lans in Lansing Michigan.
This Venue would require people to bring their own computers (since we're just playing Starcraft I MIGHT be able to supply some towers.)
We would probably Watch the OSL Finals at night.
Entry Price wouldn't be bad >20$ (lower with more attendees)
There would be a tournament with a cash prize
Pizza would probably be included(It's cooked at the venue don't request any brand)
So now I need to know...
Poll: Would you Attend this LAN (Vote): Yes (Vote): No
If there is enough interest I'll add some more info

Awesome idea. I would show up for sure!
|
I'm not in the area, but bringing computers would definitely be a pain lol
|
I'd do it, depending on date, of course. Laptops ftw!
|
Yeah, I could use an excuse to go visit EL, and this would be a great one!
|
Depending on the date a might be willing to make the drive, will keep an eye on this.

Im in Illinois, I think the 4 hour drive is too far away. The University of Chicago people should have one, I think they had something like it last year. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, the details are a bit sketchy.

4 hours is too far, I've drive 4 hours to lans several times a year. The cost is to cover venue food snacks and what ever money is left over after all of that is taken care of goes to the prize pool. I'll probably be donating some of my own money into the prize pool as well if interest is high enough.
Just a rough guess but if ~30 people show it would be maybe 10$ each

dont you only live like 1-2 hrs away?

I also think doing this when school's out might be an issue... unless you actually live in lansing, which most of us don't if we go school there.

Considering I live like 40min from east lansing I would definitely come.
