Those million that suck won't detract in any way from your Starcraft 2 experience, because you won't play them. The one that doesn't could add immensely to it. How is that not worth being excited for?

However the only thing im worried about is how the community will be divided. I can think of at least 3. 1. Hardcore melee players 2. FPS players on UMS maps 3. general ums players, like our current SC1 folks w/ like turret D.. etc and ofc maybe money map players too

Nah, WC3 is 'all but killed off' because it is a terrible competitive game. I wont list off all the things that make it a super bad esport, but the list is long and glaringly obvious. I'm sure Blizzard has learned from this. To say DotA has more appeal than StarCraft is pretty absurd though. There is a reason DotA is not on TV as well, because it is a terrible esport and competitive game. Sure, people will disagree, but you literally have 2-4 abilities and you control one character. Yawnfest. Sc2 will not split the community, it will make it boom. This is not a reskinning of StarCraft 1 like CS:S was to CS 1.6. People are hungry for another good RTS and SC2 will hopefully deliver.
