Captain Bebo, fresh from his rest, managed to evolve two separate things at once! He now has side fins to help him direct his movement more accurately, essential for navigation in both offense and escape. He also grew fangs, which help him bite his enemies and eventually eat more advanced foods!

As he went out exploring for food, trying to fill his hungry belly, he stumbled across some seaweed. MMM SEAWEED! Deciding to eat it instead of smoking it, Captain Bebo felt himself grow bigger and stronger with every bite. He made note of the location for the future, if he gets hungry again, but that shouldn't be for a few more arbitrary changes of time in the organism world.

I was actually thinking about that, but for now I want to just leave it as growing bigger/changing color. He would otherwise gain too many weird limbs and shit.

I'm cool with defying physics by letting him smoke cigarettes and weed and etc. underwater, but I think it's a little too early for that and most of TL is too goody-good for that as well

BTW if I come back and I'm ready to do another one, and the poll is tied, then I am going to post and say something like "you have 10 minutes to decide between x and y" and then if no one makes a decision I'll usually go with the more sensible thing (for example, in this case it would be scouting).

Captain Bebo felt something weird coming out of his head... No, not a penis... No, not a vagina... Antennae! These will help him detect the reverberations of soundwaves traveling through water, allowing him to detect things before his feeble eyes can see them! Using his newfound powers, he quickly sets course to the nearest organism he sensed bubbling in the distance. With powerful strokes of his fins, he sped away towards the new creature.

On the way there he sees a pile of rocks. That can be useful later... For something. Right?

He finds the organism shortly after, peacefully drifting through the deep waters. It seems timid and harmless in general.
