I just want to make sure that I got this straight. I didn't see the IMAX version of Watchmen so it wasn't as exciting for me as it was for some of you. Anyway, why did they blur out Dr.Manhattan's penis? If the movie is rated R with violent sex scenes and people getting killed in the most gory fashion possible, why cut out Manhattan's penis and put a black underwear thing instead? I don't understand the logic, not that I'm gay or anything.
Second, in the trailer it shows Holis Mason/Original Night Owl getting beaten by Gang members, but I didn't see it in the film, could anyone please confirm that it was taken out of the film? Did they cut out important scenes? I mean I only saw the Black comic book reading kid and the old fat white green coated guy near Magazine stand once in the film and that was only when the Manhattan bomb went off.
I thought the film was horrible overrall, Roschach, Ozymandias fighting the Comedian, and the other stunning visual scenes were the only thing that saved it. The dialogue was incredibly cheesy, the scenes were sort out of sync (Roschach not being seen on the ship when Night Owl saves him, Silk Spectre finding out that Comedian is her father in the end etc).
And the Comedian's mask WTF! Wasn't even there ugh (he wasn't even wearing it after it was shown WTF WTF WTF)

I haven't seen the film, and hopefully, I never will. It will only be painful, I'm sure of it.
However, I can't remember ever seeing dr Manhattan's penis anywhere in the graphic novel, so why should it be there in the movie?

it was all over the movie when i saw it big blue dick. it was kinda hard to to stare at it...
also the comedian wore his mask in the secnes BEFORE he exposed his identity, in the scenes where he was working for the government if didnt see to wear it anymore

-I second viewing the blue cock where I saw it
-If you read the last post in the "Watchmen" thread by LTT, you'd see that Synder mentions taking it (it being the Hollis Mason beating) out and that it'll be in the director's cut

That was how it was, no [Dr.] Manhattan on Mars, no Comedian scandal, no Rorschach interview." -pay more attention, I saw the Black kid and the Newspaper man multiple times throughout the movie, I'm sure they'll be featured more in the Director's Cut
-Great portions of the dialogue was taken straight from the Graphic Novel, so I'm not sure what your problem is there
-yes some of the scenes were out of sync from the Graphic Novel, most likely to aid people who have not read the graphic novel
-TryThis explained the Comedian's mask

His penis is all over the graphic novel and it was all over the movie, so i'm not sure what any of you are talking about. The black underwear is the "costume" the government makes him wear, just as it was in the graphic novel.
Yes some scenes were deleted, but most of them weren't relevant to the plot, especially the one where Mason gets killed by the gang. The one thing i kind of missed was the development of the psychologist and other random people in New York, but i can understand how that would be both time consuming and confusing during a movie.
A lot of the dialogue was word-for-word out of the original, and i thought it was pretty well-represented.
The comedian's mask? You hardly even see him wearing it in the graphic novel.

They didn't blur it out at the theater I saw it lol

I thought it was pretty good...and yes, I've read the graphic novel. The film stayed pretty true to the novel, the major change toward the end wasn't that bad and still made sense. If the dialogue was cheesy to you, I dunno what to say really because a good amount of the lines are taken directly from the novel.

Why would a girl complain about penis?
And I literally just got home from seeing this movie, and having read the grapic novel I can say I was very pleased with how well it was adapted for the screen. I thought the dialogue was really great, and I wasn't at all upset with changes that were made.
