eSTRO had proleague today against OGN Sparkyz at Yongsan's studio and I took the chance for a few candid backstage photos before the games began. eSTRO brought a significant number of their players and I hope these shots convey some of what it's like behind the scenes.
Also included - special shoot with Horang2 and YarnC (which sucks because of stuff I'd rather not go into right now, sorry guys for the lack of creativity.)
Thanks to: eSTRO coaches/manager and players for their continued support. Thanks also to the OGN coaches/managers and Lee Kyungmin.

Nice!!! Nice photos!! Just curious, planning to be a professional photoshooter someday?
On a side note, I have 2 weeks before I return back to States (and not planning to come back to Korea for a LONG TIME) I'm actually hoping to attend a proleague match sometime end of this week or next week.... maybe we can meet up or something??

I've considered it, but I'm not financially stable enough right now to make the leap into attempting to work professionally. I want to gain a lot more experience and buy the best kit possible first. I'd also like to expand beyond esports into other areas of photography in the future
Sure - I will be attending Saturday and Sunday proleague so if you'd like to come I will be sitting behind the press line beside the large panning camera (right side player's benches.) although if you need any help finding the venue I can meet you beforehand - pm me ^^

Ahh I see, interesting, well I wish you best of luck for your future in photography and who knows, you might find that perfect opportunity someday!!!
But yea, regarding the proleague.... CHECK YOUR PM!!!!!!!!!!! ^_^

Nice photos! Thanks for providing us with such cool stuff.

did u photoshop it? the color is too strong imo
EDIT: or it could be that the color of your laptop is too weak so that you increase the saturation more than enough. It happened to me last year. The picture looked good on my laptop but when I viewed it on a good monitor my eyes just bleed

I have to use photoshop to clear up noise etc - the lighting backstage is worse than the lighting in the venue itself (which aside from the spotlighted benches is awful.) The outside shots were taken at night using only the light from the sign. I do think you're right though - the colours come out a lot stronger for me on the pc rather than my laptop - my OS is in Korean though so it might take a bit of time to find the right settings. Hopefully it will be fixed in time for the weekend photos. i'll experiment a bit with the control panel tonight.

You're definitely WAY good enough to go pro.
Also, that pick of YellOw[ARNC] is incredibly sick. Good work.

Thank you Enjoy the photo of Myungsoo (YellOw) it's the last one you'll be seeing of him from me.

What? Why no more photos of Park Myung Soo?
Have you taken too many photos of him already?

I'd prefer not to go into details, but it will be the last photo you'll be seeing of him. I'll still be shooting the remaining Sparkyz members though and focusing upon players whom I usually neglect to work with like Spear, Type-B and Crocus.
