Does anyone else do this? I find the series I want to watch, scroll down to the first game, open the spoiler and quickly press play before the mid-game preview frame shows up, then quickly scroll back up so the progress bar is blocked by the bottom of my browser window. If I need to pause at any point, I use my hand or any nearby object to block the progress bar while I scroll down to hit pause.
When watching replays in BW and TFT, I often used to fold a bit of paper and blu-tack it on the screen over the progress bar :D
I'd take similar precautions whenever I needed to visit GG.net before they made the Recent Results section not show up by default (I think it is anyway; I'm too scared of going there right now to check because I suspect there'll be a 72pt new post front and center kindly informing me of the result of Savior vs FBH ).
Does anyone else go to these sorts of lengths, or am I just a lost cause? :D

WOOT SAVIORBATHERO FIGHTING!!!
Just kidding.
On firefox, you can press ctrl + to zoom in, so you can make the video take up the whole screen. Then, simply scroll up and you can hide the progress bar, while still retaining full screen video.

If I recall correctly, someone made a javascript plugin to hide the progress bar etc on YouTube, but I think that was for a pretty old version of the player. As for replays, I generally just watch them without hiding the progress bar nowadays, as the size generally gives away how long it is anyway :p

Yeah it doesn't work anymore. Maybe I'll make a new one when I am in the mood.
