During her stay she attended two proleagues (Khan/Lecaf Oz and OGN Sparkyz/?) plus Kart Rider. I've been meaning to quiz her on her opinions of these events plus esports in general for a while now.
(Please bear in mind this is just for fun - although mocking my mother for her FBH fangirling is perfectly okay.)
This interview was conducted via phone at 1 am GMT today.

1. You met Firebathero and Stork when you visited proleague during week nine of the competition. What were your impressions of the two of them?
After hearing so much from you (Nevergg) about the famous Firebathero I didn’t know what to expect. What I found was a charismatic, extremely handsome young man (laughs) and a very skilled sc player (cracks a joke about being 20 yrs younger.)
Stork is a shy player with hidden depths. When I first met him he was very shy, but still managed to greet me in broken English which I thought was very sweet of him.
2. You didn’t visit LOOX, but managed to see three events at OGN – what are your thoughts on the venue?
The OGN venue (yawns because it’s 1 am in England) was even more exciting and atmospheric than my daughter had led me to believe during our many phone conversations about esports. I was amazed at the close proximity of players to fans, which made the whole event much more personal and fun.
3. Who is you favorite team/player and why?
At the moment my favorite player is YarnC (Park Myungsoo) (laughs) I think he is a wonderful combination of a developing talent whose confidence is slowly, but surely returning. My favorite team is the OGN sparkyz because I seem to have heard about nothing else except sparkyz in the past few weeks from my daughter and I can’t wait to come and see them again because they’re so exciting and fun.
4. Who will win the OSL?
(Doesn’t know who stork is playing against.) I shall be sending all my good luck vibes to stork. Who I am sure if he holds his nerve will triumph.
5. What’s the craziest thing you’ve heard about NeverGG doing in relation to Star Craft?
Where do I begin? There are so many times she has told me of almost unbelievable coincidences and opportunities that have come her way. I think the best that I have heard are her encounters with the legendary bunkie. Many of her other encounters with pro-gamers seem to have taken place outside toilets – which as a mother causes me a little concern.
6. What did you think of FBH’s ceremony the day you went to proleague?
I am still traumatized (laughs) he certainly puts his all into his wonderful performances. I do see the need for a first aid team to be standing by at all times.
7. What did you think of Kart Rider and how did the event differ from Proleague?
I found the whole setting was less serious than sc. The concept of the players sitting in the audience with their friends made the experience more tangible. It was more relaxed. I met Moon Hojoon and his father/coach whom I found to be an adorable and talented young gamer.
8. After hearing about Dungeon and Fighter do you want to attend this event?
Having heard about DF and being a bit of a nutter myself I really must make the time to come and see it during my next visit. Because some of the crazy stunts they get up to sound like some of the things I used to get up to when I was younger (laughs.)
9. Any message to foreigners thinking about attending esporting events?
I would totally like to encourage anyone of any age when visiting Korea to go and see a selection of the different events as however much you hear about them from others online nothing can prepare you for the sheer excitement and the feeling of being involved yourself in these unique events.
10. What is your opinion of the Crotch Master? (after being played the song down the phone.)
I think it’s really clever and I kept getting flashes of FBH’s ceremonies – I wonder why. (laughs) .......don’t write that ok?
(Thanks to my Mum for being such a good sport - hopefully she will come back to Korea later this year for more events.)
