the first iteration, yes.. fixed couple of bugs they've created by now but it's still not too good I just hope they'll destroy as few things as possible at this point.

There were rumors that WGL was ending when ESL pulled away. Sponsors aren't benevolent and want to make money which isn't happening for wc3.

WGL run way before ESL got interested in WC3 again when Deforged came out.. anyway, there were a lot of other tournaments except WGL too. But Suddenly there are almost no t1 and t2 coming from there.. it's a shame, but nothing can be done I guess.

What do you not understand about the whole world abandoning wc3 after it disappointed numbers wise post reforged? The fact that WGL existed and wc3 was popular in China prior to reforged isn't relevant to the game getting less popular. Blizzard invested money into ESL for two years of tournament. We know from the twitch leak how little money the ESL_WC3 channel made as compared with every other game ESL was running. I'm assuming blizzard and netease were partnered in some fashion for WGL as well, especially since they forced reforged graphics in all their events. If your tournament prize pool is Blizzard's marketing budget and that marketing budget dries up then you don't have tournaments anymore.

God Bless the w3c team for that!

It really depends what you're going for. If you're terribly new you might enjoy bnet for the ease, but both servers are just going to have you stomp or get stomped while your mmr is sorted. If you're looking to take it relatively competitive and serious then w3c is probably better. Their servers might be better or worse pingwise depending on where you live, and if you have top mmr you can only really expect to match for kr/cn primetime. On top of that then run into a lot of unhappy people if you match on an unoptimal server lol.
